Value the State of the Soul

You would do well to measure all people by God's standard — to measure them not by the amount of their income — but by the condition of their souls. When the Lord God looks down from Heaven upon people, He takes no account of many things which are highly esteemed by the world. He looks not at a person's money, or lands, or titles. He looks only at the state of their souls — and reckons them accordingly. Oh, that you would strive to do likewise! Oh, that you would value grace above titles, or intellect, or gold! Often, far too often, the only question asked about a person is, "How much is he worth?" It would be well for us all to remember that every person is pitiably poor — until he is rich in faith, and rich toward God.

Cereal Night!!!!!

Well, well, what do we have here????? Looks like we've been indulging in some SWEET dinner! We had a cereal for dinner night. It was so fun, while it lasted. We had about 12 boxes of cereal and boy did we eat some cereal. We all ate so much that we didn't feel good later that night! We never eat sweet cereal. Everybody brought their favorite kind of cereal!

The variety of all of the different cereal we had.We learned that mixing some different kinds together is great!

Can't forget the milk! Oh, we had to put it in a pretty dispenser.
Just about ready to start eating!
I guess Fruity Pebbles was a favorite!

Two Classes of Christ's Church

Good Morning!

I get the J. C. Ryle quotes every morning and I though I would share this mornings with you. It is so true about the churches. You're either on one spectrum or you're on the total opposite side. Which one would you be choosing today? I want to strive to honor Christ in any way that I can. I desire to become more like Christ is every area of my life. Here is the quote:

Become a Wise Man

Good Morning!

Well, finally a post after a long weekend in Asheville, NC for the NCFIC Marriage Conference! It was very fun and exhausting all at the same time!

Well, in Proverbs 1 is talks about the beginning of knowledge. We need to hear the instruction that the Lord has put in from of us through Solomon. It's something that we can strive for every single day. Let's focus on becoming a wise man! God gives us wisdom in the Bible and we should take it and accept it! I hope you have a blessed day today!

Love Wisdom

Good Morning!

God commands us multiple times to love wisdom and get it. We have to ask Him for it and when he gives it to us we need to take it and use the wisdom. So, the verse I found this morning is Prover 29:3, which says, "Whoever loves wisdom makes his father rejoice, But a companion of harlots wastes his wealth." That's why we need to love wisdom and the things that God puts in front of us.

Also, I desire to know how I can be praying for you. I would love to know the hearts of my blog readers more. Either leave me a comment or email me at britsy94@gmail.com

God Shows Us Everything

Good Morning!!

I have a quick verse to share!! Psalm 119:18, which says, "Open my eyes, that I may see Wondrous things from Your Law."  I love how it is so true! God opens our eyes when we are humble and teachable. We need to learn to be like that to Him!

David is Thankful

Good Morning!

This morning I was reading 1 Chronicles and I came across David's Song of Thanksgiving! It is such a beautiful writing! Here it is, "Oh, Give thanks to the LORD!Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works! Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD! Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore! Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth, O seed of Israel His servant; You children of Jacob, His chosen ones! He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth. Remember His covenant forever, The word which he commanded for a thousand generations." Meditate on it today and be grateful just like David was!

Gods Amazing Power

Good Morning!

I'm so sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been taking a break trying to get my schedule and school in order! It's finally organized and on a schedule.

Well, the past several sermons that we've been hearing on Sundays are truly continuing to amaze me. I am totally amazed at the work that God can do at anytime. We're in Matthew 10 now but in chapter 8-9 is all about Jesus healing different people. It honestly makes me honor our Lord more because he can heal anybody, anything from whatever he wants with the slightest little touch. It's really the amazing power of Our Lord. Just read Matthew 8-9 and you'll understand what I'm saying!!! We need to trust in the Lord Jesus in everything that we do.

    Have a blessed day!

Matthew 8:14-27

Good Morning!

Well, yesterday was Sunday and Mr. Dohm, our elder in our church was out of town so Mr. Burroughs preached in place of him. He did a magnificent job! It was on Matthew 8:14-27. Jesus has the power to heal anybody he wants with the simplest voice, touching them, etc. We see the example of him going into Peter's house and healing his mother-in-law who is laying with fever. He just talks and she gets up and starts serving Jesus. I can't wrap my brain around the fact that all the Lord has to do is talk and someone can be healed. Also, I've never really though of sickness this way, Mr. Burroughs was saying that when sickness was born was when Adam and Eve sinned in the garden. There was no sin before then. So therefore, when you have a sickness it is most likely from sin.

Be Zealous for the Lord

Good Morning!!!!

I have a great verse for you today. It is Proverbs 23:17, which says, "Do not let your heart envy sinners, But be zealous for the fear of the LORD all the day;" This verse tells me that I need to make sure I am a woman who fears the Lord with all of my heart. God commands us to be zealous for his word and Him. That's what we need to live for. Living isn't just for doing good works, we need to fear our God who does everything for us. We need to praise Him in everything that we do in our lives. I know that it's easy to not even think about this but God is faithful to us so we need to be faithful to him also!!! Let's work on fearing the Lord and being zealous for Him. :)

I hope you have a great day!!

Increasing Your Faith by Studying Christ

Would you have more faith? Then seek to become more acquainted with Jesus Christ. Study your blessed Savior more and more, and strive to know more of the length and breadth and height of His love. Study Him in all His offices—as the Priest, the Physician, the Redeemer, the Advocate, the Friend, the Teacher, the Shepherd of His believing people. Study Him as one who not only died for you—but is also living for you at the right hand of God—as one who not only shed His blood for you—but daily intercedes for you at the right hand of God—as one who is soon coming again for you, and will stand once more on this earth.
The miner who is fully persuaded that the rope which draws him up from the pit will not break, is drawn up without anxiety and alarm. The believer who is thoroughly acquainted with the fullness of Jesus Christ—is the believer who travels from grace to glory with the greatest comfort and peace. Then let your daily prayers always contain these words, "Lord, increase my faith."
Well, this post is from J.C. Ryle, he's so good. He always has great emails quotes that come out every morning. They're so encouraging to read every morning. It gets my morning off to a great start praising the Lord. If you'd like to get the press on the title and it will take you to his website. Hope you have a blessed day!!

Sing Praises to His Name

Hello,

Well, this morning I am reading Psalm 108 and the first several verses in this chapter are about singing praises unto God. Psalm 108: 1-4 says, "O GOD, My heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise you, O lord, among the peoples, And I will sing praises to You among the nations. For Your mercy is great above the heavens, And Your truth reaches to the clouds." I think this is something that we all need to examine in our own hearts. We need to sing praises to the Lord no matter what. If you care what people think about you when you sing it shouldn't stop you at all. You should just keep singing and singing!!! You can praise God by doing many things to Him. You can pray, sing, read the Bible, etc. Lets try and focus more on praising our savior who does everything for us. We need to be extremely grateful for Him. He loves us so we must love Him!!!! Have a blessed day!!! If you'd like prayer on something you can email me at britsy94@gmail.com!!!!

Good Morning!!!

I have a lot to share about training your children today. I have just read Proverbs 22 and there are a few verses on the children. First is, Proverbs 22:6, which says, " Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it." Secondly, Proverbs 22:15, which says, "Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The rod of correction will drive it far from him." We need to seriously think about these verses. In this book of wisdom we see everything!!!! We need to listen to the wisdom that the Lord has given us and use it. He says "Train your children." A lot of people in this world just give their children everything that they want. Then, the children become spoiled and the parents wonder how that happened. Well, I have the answer, the parents didn't ever tell them no to anything. It's really a big problem in our world. So, my admonition would be to use these verses and search for more to see what God says about child training!!! Have a blessed day!!!

Strive to Be Humble

Good Morning!!! Here is a really good quote from J.C. Ryle. It is about being humble and is really a good encouragement to you because everybody can't do all of these things and he's telling us that.

Humility may well be called the queen of the Christian graces. To know our own sinfulness and weakness, and to feel our need of Christ, is the very beginning of saving religion. It is a grace which has always been the distinguishing feature in the character of the holiest saints in every age. Abraham, Moses, Job, David, Daniel and Paul were all eminently humble men. Above all, it is a grace within the reach of every true Christian. All have not money to give away. All have not time and opportunities for working directly for Christ. All have not gifts of speech, tact and knowledge, in order to do good in the world. But all converted people should labor to adorn the doctrine they profess by humility. If they can do nothing else, they can strive to be humble.

Hello,

Well, I just want to share with you what our church has been doing the past couple of weeks. We have had the privilege to use the parking lot of the little town restaurant and we get out there and are ministering to the community. We give out hotdogs, chips, pickles, and drinks. We are trying to get to know our community so every Tuesday night we get out there for about three hours and pray talk with people that come and minister to them. You can be praying for us that the Lord would use our church in a mighty way! Thank you for your prayers and thinking of us!!!

Proverbs 14:3

Good Morning!

I was reading my Bible and I love this verse. It is Proverbs 14:3, which says, "In the mouth of a fool is a rod of pride, but the lips of the wise will preserve them." We need to be wise and heed the counsel that the Lord has given us. I know that sometimes I have a mouth of a fool but with the Lords strength I will overcome that foolishness. I pray for you on that!! I hope you have a great day!!

Hello,

I know I haven't posted in such a long time. At least for me it feels like I haven't posted in decades! My friends from GA came up for almost two weeks. We had such a fun time together! We did everything to taking all of the kids out shopping while Auntie Tracey went out to lunch with a friend to helping clean the house. There were fifteen children in the house. It was very fun but also sometimes very loud. I will post pictures as soon as I get pictures from my friends camera.

Fear the Lord

Good Morning!

This morning I was reading my Bible and I read Proverbs 8-9. In Proverbs 8:13 it talks about fearing the Lord. The verse says, "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate." Also is Proverbs 9:10 says, " The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." I know I need to fear the Lord more. You can pray for me in that area. We all could probably be praying for each other in this area!! I hope this encourages you today as it has for me. Have a blessed day and if I can pray for you in any way just leave a comment or email me at britsy94@gmail.com

God is Our Law Giver

Good Morning!!!!

I have a wonderful verse to share with you this morning! It is Proverbs 7:1-5, which says, "My son, keep my words, And treasure my commands within you. Keep my commands within you. Keep my commands and lives, And y law as the apple of your eye. Bind them on your fingers; Write them on the tablet of your heart. Say to wisdom, "You are my sister," And call understanding your nearest kin, That they may keep you from the immoral woman, From the seductress who flatters with her words." This verse tells us that we need to do all of these things unto the Lord. He gave us the Bible as the Law. We are to follow it and keep his commands. I want this to bless everybody and I pray that you Lord convicts you as he has me in this area. Have a blessed day. How can I pray for you today? Homemade Bread

Hello,

Yesterday I ran into a little problem. I was supposed to make bread to go with our dinner. I looked at the clock and it was 4 o' clock. I was supposed to start bread by 2:30 to have it fresh for dinner. I did panic a little bit but I searched for a fast wheat bread recipe and I found the perfect one. It rises for 15 minutes and bakes for 30 minutes. It was so nice. This recipe was extremely easy!!!I would very much recommend using it. I'll put the link at the bottom of the post.

Today, I decided to make some for both of our neighbors. I made two loaves and they turned out so pretty. I'm so happy I found this quick recipe that I can make bread in a little over an hour.

I hope you enjoyed these beautiful loaves of bread. I surely did because for the last three years my bread hasn't risen like this. I was overly excited when I saw it rising and it never flopped. My bread always flops. Not anymore. I've made it twice and It hasn't flopped. Here is the link:savoryseasonings.blogspot.com/2009/07/fast-and-easy-whole-wheat-bread.html

Psalm 76

Good Morning!

I was reading Psalm 76 and just loved it because its all about "The Majesty of God in Judgement." It is such a beautiful, poetic Psalm. Here it is:

"In Judah God is known; His name is great in Israel. In Salem also is His tabernacle, And His dwelling place in Zion. There He Broke the arrows of the bow, The shields and sword of battle. You are more glorious and excellent than the mountains of pray, The stouthearted were ;plundered; They have sunk into their sleep And none of the mighty men have found the use of their hands. At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, Both the chariot and horse were cast into a dead sleep. You, Yourself, are to be feared; And who may stand in Your presence When once you are angry? You caused judgement to be heard from heaven; The earth feared and was still, When God arose to judgement, To deliver all the oppressed of the earth. Selah Surely the wrath of man shall praise You; With the remainder of wrath you shall gird Yourself. Make vows to the Lord your God, and pay them; Let all who are around Him bring presents to Him who ought to be feared. He shall cut off the spirit of princes; He is awesome to the kings of the earth."

I hope you enjoy this. Leave me a comment to let me know what you think of the beautifully written Psalm.

Have a Blessed day!!!

Proverbs 6:16-19

Hello,

I was just reading my Bible and I read Proverbs 6:16-19 which I have read before but I read it again. I never realize how much we do these things. It just happens so easy and we have to purpose to repent for these sins that we do. Proverbs 6:16-19 says, "There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community" We need to try not to do these things that are listed. The Lord will help us if we ask Him. Be humble enough to ask Him for help in the areas that you struggle with. I know that I struggle with this and I ask that you would pray for me. How can I pray for you? Please leave a comment or email me at britsy94@gmail.com.

Have a great day!

Proverbs 4

Hello,

This morning I was reading Proverbs 4 and I couldn't pick one verse to share with you so I decided to share the whole chapter with everybody. This whole chapter is God giving us fatherly advice on the importance of wisdom. It is such a blessing that the Lord gave us these chapters to teach and show us.

Proverbs 4:1 Hear, [my] children, the instruction of a father, And give attention to know understanding; 2 For I give you good doctrine: Do not forsake my law. 3 When I was my father's son, Tender and the only one in the sight of my mother, 4 He also taught me, and said to me: "Let your heart retain my words; Keep my commands, and live. 5 Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. 6 Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you. 7 Wisdom [is] the principal thing; [Therefore] get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. 8 Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her. 9 She will place on your head an ornament of grace; A crown of glory she will deliver to you." 10 Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, And the years of your life will be many. 11 I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in right paths. 12 When you walk, your steps will not be hindered, And when you run, you will not stumble. 13 Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; Keep her, for she [is] your life. 14 Do not enter the path of the wicked, And do not walk in the way of evil. 15 Avoid it, do not travel on it; Turn away from it and pass on. 16 For they do not sleep unless they have done evil; And their sleep is taken away unless they make [someone] fall. 17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, And drink the wine of violence. 18 But the path of the just [is] like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. 19 The way of the wicked [is] like darkness; They do not know what makes them stumble. 20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; 22 For they [are] life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. 23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it [spring] the issues of life. 24 Put away from you a deceitful mouth, And put perverse lips far from you. 25 Let your eyes look straight ahead, And your eyelids look right before you. 26 Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established. 27 Do not turn to the right or the left; Remove your foot from evil.

I hope this blesses you as much as it blessed me. Have a wonderful and blessed day!!

In Christ,
Brittany

Well, this morning I was reading Proverbs 1 and I read my favorite verse in that chapter. It is verse 8, which says, "My son, hear the instruction of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother." That verse says so much to me. It says that I need to hear the wisdom that has been given to me and hear my mother also. Listen to the authorities that the Lord our God has given us!!!

Hope this blesses you and encourages you! How can I pray for you today!!!

Proverbs 31

Hello Everyone,

I don't know if I've posted on this before, but if I have I will do it again. I love this verse so much. It's so beautiful and encouraging to young ladies who love the Lord. I love Proverbs 31:29-30. It's one of my favorite passages in the book of Proverbs. It says, "Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all." Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, She shall be praised." I just love that so much. It encourages me to keep serving in my house and fear the Lord with all my heart and soul. I hope this blessed you and I hope you have a blessed day!!!

Morgan's Surgery

Hello Everybody,

Yesterday morning my sister, Morgan, had to get her tonsils out and her umbilical hernia fixed. She went to the hospital at 8:15 and we were on our way home by 12:00. She was such a good girl. You can be praying for her because she is in a lot of pain. Her throat is hurting her a lot. She was not nervous at all and she is doing wonderful. Here is a picture before her surgery. I think she had just gotten her "giggle juice" (makes you sleepy). Have a wonderful day today and be praying for Morgan. She's in a lot of pain. As you can see we got to color her bed. We had a lot of fun with her. Wake Med was such a great hospital. Have a blessed day.

This morning I was reading my Bible and II wanted to share Psalm 51 with you. This is one of my favorite Psalms. It's so joyful and has so much wisdom and direction in it. I love how it has songs that we know in it also. Here it is:

Psalm 51

Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against you, You only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Your sight-- That You may be found just when you speak, And blameless when you judge. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me. Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part you will make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me hear joy and gladness that the bones You have broken may rejoice. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation. And uphold me by your generous spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted to You. Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, The God of my salvation, And my tongue shall sing aloud of your righteousness. O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise. For you do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not desire sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite hear-- These, O God, You will not despise. Do god in your good pleasure to Zion; Build the walls of Jerusalem. Then you shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, With Burnt offering and whole burnt offering; Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar.

I just love this section of scripture. It's so encouraging and a blessing that God gives us these verse. I'm so thankful to the Lord for giving us his Word.

Have a blessed day!!

God says a lot about the Tongue in Proverbs

I've been meditating on the how powerful the tongue is. I wrote down quite a few verse that I would like to share with you.

1. Proverbs 6:1-2--- My son, if you become surety for you friend, If you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger, You are shared by the words of your mouth;

2. Proverbs 8:13--- The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way, And the perverse mouth I hate.

3. Proverbs 10:14--- Wise people store up knowledge, But the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.

4. Proverbs 10: 19-21--- In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise. The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; The heart of the wicked is worth little. The lips of the righteous feed many, But fools dies for a lack of wisdom.

5. Proverbs 12:18--- There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, But the tongue of the wise promotes health.

6. Proverbs 14:3--- In the mouth of a fool is a rod of pride, But the lips of the wise will preserve them.

7. Proverbs 17:28--- Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace, when he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.

8. Proverbs 21:23--- Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles.

9. Proverbs 25:11--- A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold and settings of silver.

10. Proverbs 29:11--- A fool vents all his feeling, But a wise man holds them back.

11. Proverbs 29:20--- Do you see a man hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

I love all of these verses. You can pray for me that I would apply them to my life and think more before I speak. Reading all of these again while sharing them with you is just an encouragement to me. I could read these over and over again. I love Proverbs 29:11 just because I want to be a wise man. I don't want to be a fool who says whatever they want to say. I hope that these verses encourage you as much as they have encouraged me.

Have a blessed day!!!

Alabama Tornado

Hello,

On the side of my blog I have pop-ups that you can donate to the Lee, Crawford, and Boyd family who were right in the middle of the tornado. Their houses are destroyed and they need the body of Christ to step up and support them. If you feel like the Lord is telling you to support them then just press "Chip In" on each different pop-up. Have a blessed day and remember to keep these families in our prayers.

Hear the Law of the Lord

This morning I was reading my Bible and I read a verse in Proverbs 28. It says, "One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination." Proverbs 28:9. I think this is a very powerful verse. I can learn a lot from this. When you don't want to hear the law (wisdom) there is no need in even praying to the Lord because your prayer to him at that point is an abomination. This verse is a strong verse. God is very serious. I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Psalm 46:1

Hello,

This morning when I was reading my Bible I was reading Psalm 45-47. That's what was on my Bible plan for today. I love chapter 46 and 47 because when the Tsantles' were adopting Bella there was somewhat of an issue with the Indian tribe that she was from. We were looking for verses that we could remember for her. One of the verses that we came across was Psalm 46:5, which says, "God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn." Another verse is Psalm 47:4, which says, "He will choose our inheritance for us, The excellence of Jacob whom He loves." I love these verses every time I read them.

Have a blessed day!!

Proverbs 12:1

Well, I'm so sorry that it has been so long since I've posted. Well, this morning I was reading my Proverbs of the day and the first verse stuck out to me. It is Proverbs 12:1, which says, "Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid."My mom told me this yesterday when I talked over her as she was bringing something to me. I want to love instruction as this verse says we should. This verse is a great one to keep in mind or even memorize because we can all find ourselves in situations like this. I hope this encourages you and I hope you have a wonderful day today!!!

Hannah's Prayer

Hello,

I just want to write Hannah's Prayer to encourage everybody.

Hannah's Prayer

And Hannah prayed and said:

"My heart rejoices in the Lord; My horn is exalted in the Lord. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your Salvation. No one is holy like the Lord, For there is none besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God. Talk no more so very proudly; Let no arrogance come from your mouth, For the Lord is the God of knowledge; And by Him actions are weighed. The bows of the mighty men are broken and those who stumbled are girded with strength. Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread, and the hungry have ceased to hunger. Even the barren has borne seven, and she who has many children has become feeble. The Lord kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up. The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the beggar from the ash heap. To set them among princes and make them inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's And He has set the world upon them. He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. For by strength no man shall prevail. The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them. The lord ill judge the ends of the earth. He will give strength to His king, and exalt the horn of His anointed."

This just encourages me. I hope it encourages you also. Have a blessed day!!

What a Great Weekend!

Well, this weekend we decided to pack everything up and head to Lynchburg, VA to take a weekend trip to celebrate Taylor, my cousins, 18 birthday. We had a blast from snow tubing to bowling to eating out for dinners to spending time with family.

We left Friday morning and went snow tubing Friday afternoon at Wintergreen Resort in VA. Then we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. We had a fun packed day. All of the kids were exhausted. Oh, wait, but there is more. We went to the store just to get a couple of things for breakfast. Taylor's birthday was Saturday and we all got him some presents. Auntie Tracey could not wait for him to open his presents so he opened them. We got him some games so we all played a game for a long time. We didn't got to bed until 12:30.

Saturday was a lot of fun!! We had breakfast in the cabin we stayed in. Uncle Jim was the cook that morning. I took like an hour to make everything for breakfast. We went a bumped around town and just had fun. We went to this really good Hibachi Buffet for lunch. They had everything you could imagine. It was so YUMMY!!!! We had a blast! Then, we went bowling.

Then, we went back to the cabin and Mr. and Mrs. Vogal brought us pies and pizza. They brought a couple of there friends that could play instruments and we all would sing to the music. It was a full house that night. But, it builds memories for the little ones. Remembering every year coming here and singing with everybody is so fun.

Sunday was just a chill out kind of day. We listened to church and then we all had leftover pizza and pies for lunch. We went to the park and played and then headed home after we gathered all of our stuff from the cabin.

We had a blessed weekend!!

Blessings,
Brittany

Psalm 21

Hello Everybody,

This morning I was reading my Bible reading for the day and the title of Psalm 21 is "Joy in the Salvation of the Lord." I love that, it just is a beautiful saying. The Psalm is a beautiful Psalm also. I need to remember this one and keep going back to read it. I love the last verse, which says, "Be exalted, O Lord, in Your own strength! We will sing and praise Your power." I think that is such a sweet verse. I know that I could do this better but it just encourages me to go back and read it over and over again. Please pray for me in this area.

Friends Loveth!!

Well, this morning I was reading my Bible and I read Proverbs 17 which has a really great verse in it. We all need to apply this verse to our lives. It's Proverbs 17:17, it says," A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born to adversity." This is something that we all need to remember to do to our friends. I know that I've been working on being a better communicator to friends and writing them letters and emailing more. I pray that maybe you could work on it with me. If you could use prayer on this area just write a comment and I'll make sure that I pray for you. Thank you and I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Psalm 12

Well, good morning!!! I was reading my Bible this morning and I read Psalm 12. It talks a lot about flattery and the lips. The verse that stuck out to me is, "May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, And the tongue that speaks proud things." I thought that that is something that I really need to work on because that is something I tend to do. Not really flattery but I need to watch what I say and not interrupt people when they're speaking.

Thanks,
Brittany

Proverbs 31

Hello,

Well, this beautiful morning I was reading my Bible. Every time I read Proverbs 31 I just get tickled in me heart. That is one of my favorite passages of scripture. The verse that I love so much is, "Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all. Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates."(Proverbs 31:28-31) I just love that verse and it just encourages me to continue listening to my parents and serving in my family. I hope that this would encourage you also. Have a blessed day!!!

BIble Reading Plan

Hello Everybody,

My family has been reading this Bible plan since the beginning of the year. It was all of our goals this year to read the whole Bible. We found a 52 week Bible plan that we really like a lot. I just want to encourage you to start at the beginning and read it through in a year. It is such a big accomplishment. Here is the link to the Bible Plan. I hope that you're encouraged to read the Bible and go through with it. Do it with somebody else so you can hold each other accountable. I hope you do this. It's also a great discipline to learn to read your Bible everyday.

Another Talebearer Verse

This morning I was reading the Proverbs of the day and I cam across another verse about tale baring. It says, "He who goes about as a talebearer reveals secrets; Therefore do not associate with one who flatters with his lips." This is the second one I've come across in the past couple of days. The Lord has helped me a great deal with not tattling. He showed me how wrong it was and I don't like it when it is done to me. I need to share this verse with my little sister and my little cousins because we catch them tattling on each other sometimes. It's not a good thing to do at all. I pray that you're encouraged by this verse as I was. Have a wonderful day!!!

Don't be a Talebearer

Well, this morning I was reading my Bible and I came across a verse in Proverbs 18, which says, "The words of a talebearer are like tasty trifles, And they go down into the inmost body." This tells me a lot. I think that this verse means when you are a talebearer at first it is like tasting a yummy piece of candy but once you get caught and your parents realize what you were doing it goes down into the inmost body. I don't want that to happen to me. This verse really convicted me because I can be known of tattling. I have gotten a lot better at it since I was a little girl but there still are times when I get full of myself and just want to get people in trouble and tattle on them. I'm not saying that it is right or anything like that. I know that it is sin and it is a 100% wrong to do. So, please pray for me in this area. I hope that you would be convicted by the same thing. I hope that you have a blessed day today!!!

Blair is Pregnant

Hello Everybody,

I just wanted to announce to everybody that my cousin, Taylor, and his wife Blair are expecting. She is almost 6 weeks and so excited that she is going to have a baby. We were all so excited when they told us. They told us on New Years Eve. They brought up a little gift for Alexander and Auntie Tracey opened it and it was a onesie hat said, "I'm an uncle." It was so cute and none of us got it at first. Ally was the first one to get it and then we all got excited and started jumping up and down and hugging like crazy. The baby is due on September 6th. We're all so excited.

Blessings,
Brittany
