This Past Weekend!!!!

Hello Everybody,

This past weekend was a very fun weekend. Well, first of all most of everybody between the Tsantles and the Whitaker Family is sick with the cold. We were coughing like crazy and we would all laugh when we would start because we called it out coughing chorus. That was the start of our wonderful weekend. Friday, we had our big dinner, so, we cooked everything during the day. At the Tsantles it was us,Taylor and Blair, and Aunt Laura. It was an interesting meal!!! All of the food was wonderful and everybody enjoyed it so much. We open our presents on Christmas Eve so we did that and of course it became a mess with all of the wrapping paper everywhere.

Christmas Day we started off the morning with brunch. We had Christmas morning cake, eggs, bacon, and ham. It was really good!!!! Then we all kind of relaxed the rest of the afternoon. We had some people who weren't feeling well. Then Taylor and Blair came again and we had just a bunch of hors d'oeuvres for dinner that night. Then after dinner we read through Luke 1and 2. Oh, can't forget that it started snowing on Christmas Day!!!! Then we opened our stockings and all of the kids played with their little toys. Then, we watched "It's A Wonderful Life". Then people started fading after the movie. But, we had a fun day!!!

This was a really good Christmas!!!!

I hope that your holiday was wonderful just like ours was!!!

Hate Evil and Fear the Lord

Well, this morning I was reading my Bible and in Proverbs 7:13 it says, "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arroganve and the evil way And the precerse mouth I hate." It just reminds me how important it is to hate evil and not be prideful. I tend to struggle with that sometimes. I need to fear the Lord with my whole heart. They're times when I do but I need to do it all of the time. I know that nobody is perfect and I know that I just need to do a better job at it. Please pray for me and I pray that you will work on the same things also. Have a blessed day and I hope that this encourages you.

Six Things that the Lord Hates

Hello Everybody,

Well, this morning I was reading my Bible and I came across a passage of scripture in Proverbs 6. It's a passage that I've read many time but this time when I read it it really convicted me. The passage says, "These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hand that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And on who sows discord among brethren." Proverbs 6: 16-19 I was convicted yesterday in our sermon that Mr. Brown gave us and how we should share the gospel with every person you see and not just keep your mouth shut. That is Sin and I haven't really thought of it that way. I need to and I need to practice sharing the Gospel more often to people I meet.

Well We're Headed Off for Thanksgiving

Hello,

My family is going to the Mountains for Thanksgiving this year. We've never gone for Thanksgiving before so I personally think it's going to be quite interesting cooking in a kitchen that we've never cooked in before. I think that we have too many cooks and not enough kitchens!!!! We're staying in a big cabin that one of Uncle Jim's Doctor's let us have for the week. We leave on Wednesday morning and Papa and Tyler come home Friday night. Mommy, Morgan and I are staying at the cabin until Sunday and then heading to Georgia to see Alexander James!!! I can't wait to see that little man. I'll make sure I get pictures and post them on here soon!!! When we get back. I'll post more!!

Blessings,

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Hear the Wisdom that People Give You

Hello Everybody,

I was reading my Bible this morning and I came across a verse that I really like a lot. It's Proverbs 22:17, which says, "Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise and apply your heart to my knowledge." So, I just really think that verse is helpful because I tend to not take the wisdom I'm given every time it's given to me. I need to work on taking the wisdom and then applying my heart to knowledge. Please pray for me in this area. I hope taht this is an encouragement to you.

Update on Papa

Hello,

So, here's an update on Papa's whole injury that happened this past year. He went to the Neurologist the other day and they told him that his recovery is a full two years. That would be why the nerve isn't up yet. The nerve that was damaged is two feet long. So, it's just going to take a long time to heal and get back to where it was before. So, just pray for that recovery to come around fast. He now has to start more Physical Therapy which he was done with before he went to this Dr. Please pray for him that he would be patient and trust in God. Thank you for always praying for him.

Adoption Update

Hello Everybody,

I just wanted to give you a little update on the Tsantles' Adoption. Well, they haven't found the husband of the birth mother yet. So, they're trying to get into the court docket so then the judge can most likely terminate the husbands rights. So, just pray that they would find the husband before and then he would sign the paper. Then, everything would be back to normal. Xander is doing great, he is in his foster home right know and they send pictures often. Just pray!!

Thanks,

Brittany

Good Morning!

Well, this morning I was reading Proverbs 15 and I came across verse 7 which says, "The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, But the heart of the fool does not do so." When someone has the lips of the wise that is a good thing to have. Some people are just gifted with wisdom and in this verse it tells us that they disperse the knowledge. When you're a fool you're not known for dispersing knowledge at all. I don't want to be known as a fool so I'm trying to take wisdom and be wise. Please pray for me. I hope that you will do that same. Have a wonderful day today!!!

Don't be Prideful

Hello,

This morning I was reading Proverbs 11 and I came across verse two. It is, "When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom." I need to remember that more often. It is very easy to forget that and just move on with your day. Please pray for me that I wouldn't forget that and that I would be humble in the Lord. I don't want to have shame, I want to be humble and become more like Christ. I hope this encourages you to do the same as I'm doing.

More Xander Pictures

Hello Everyone,

I'm giving you an update on Xander the baby. He is doing wonderful in his foster family right know. He is already getting bigger. We have been receiving pictures every couple of days from them.

So with the whole adoption process the man that the birth mother is married to (not the birth father) has not been in her life for over two years but since they are married he is the legal guardian over this baby. So, in order for him to come to the Tsanltes' the father has been sent a certified letter that he could just sign and then everything would be back to normal. The other thing is that the agency would have to get in the court and ask the judge to terminate his rights. That could take a little while to do all of that. We're just praying that the father signs the paper and then everything would be back to normal. Keep praying!!!

Thanks,

Brittany

More Xander Pictures

Hello Everyone,

Here are some more pictures of Xander Tsantles. He is such a little precious baby boy. Auntie and Uncle talked to the foster mom last night. She was explaining how he is and how cute he is. She said, "as soon as you take a foot out of his sleeper he cries because he gets cold very easy. She also said that he loves to be swaddled in a blanket like they do in the hospital. I hope that you enjoy the pictures!!!! Hopefully there will be more to come shortly.

Pray for Adoption

Hello Everyone,

I would just like to ask for your prayer today about the adoption of Xander Tsantles. Stephanie (birth mom) went to go sign the papers to give up her writes and she said that she was married but hasn't seen or been with the guy for 2 years. The man that she is married to is legally the birth father even though he really isn't Rico is the birth father. Because they're married he is legally the father of the baby. So, Georgia has given permission for a paper that says Stephanie hasn't seen him in 2 years. North Carolina is in the process of seeing if the paper will go through. But, if NC doesn't accept that paper then it could take 60 to 90 days to terminate the fathers rights and they wouldn't be able to bring the baby home until all of that was done. So, just please pray for the Tsantles' Adoption and that everything would go according to the will of God our Father. Thanks and have a blessed day!!

Exciting News!!!

Well, I just wanted to tell all of you that I'm going to have a new little cousin soon. The Tsantles' have been on a waiting list to adopt for about 5 months. A birth Mom came into the agency on July 19 and has chosen the Tsantles' to be the home of that little baby boy. He is due on Nov. 1st, 2010. His birth mom is Caucasian and his birth father is African American, Jamaican, and Japanese. We think that he's going to be an adorable baby boy. His name may very well be Alexander James Tsantles'. We would call him (Xander). I think that's so cute. I can hardly wait to actually take care of a baby boy. I've never done it before. I better start practicing!!!! Just keep praying that everything would work out with the wedding in the middle of all of that. For God's timing. Thanks

Update on Papa

Hello Everyone,

I just want to give you a quick update on how Papa is doing. He's walking without anything and driving. He doesn't have to wear his brace anymore on his knee. When it rains he has really bad pain in the leg. His foot still hasn't woken up but were just praying. He has a test soon that tells you whether the nerve will wake up or not and if the test says that it's going to wake up you just hold out and wait. If the test tells you that your nerve isn't going to wake up then you decide whether you would want a tendon swap. So, just pray for that and that the Lord would heal the foot part of the injury. Thanks and I hope you have a blessed day!!!!!

Spurgeon on the Holy Spirit

Well, this past month I have been reading a wonderful book called "Spurgeon on the Holy Spirit". It's a really great book so id you're looking for a great book to read I would suggest that one. Spurgeon just goes over certain scripture passages and explains them and has his own thoughts in there. There are personal questions that he asks and then he answers them. I would strongly recommend this book to whoever would like to grow closer to the Lord our God. I hope that you have a great day and please read this book.

Confess Your Sins to One Another

This morning I was reading Proverbs 28 in my Bible and I came across this verse, "He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy." Proverbs 28:13 I really like that verse because it really explains what will happen if you don't confess your sins to one another. There are many other verses that talk about this same thing but we need to realize this. This is not just a little thing to think about. I was really pondering on it this morning during my quiet time. I don't want to cover my sins, I desire that the Lord would give me the strength to confess to one another. There have been many times where I have lied in the past so I didn't get out of trouble. I"m not proud of this but I let the flesh get out of me and not the spirit. I wouldn't desire to do that again but to share with someone about my sin. How about we work on this together????? Sounds like a good plan to me. I hope this encourages you and I hope you have a wonderful day today!!!

The Ways of Man are Many

Well, this morning I was reading Proverbs 16 and I had a couple verse that I really liked a lot. One of them is Proverbs 16:9, which says, "A man's heart plans his way, But the Lord Directs his Steps." I know that I think I have many plans in this world but I don't have any at all. I wish I did but it is really a good thing that I don't. God is in control of my life and I need to let him do whatever His plan is in my life. I pray that I will fear God more and Love him the way I should. I hope that this encourages you to do the same thing that I was encouraged with. Have a blessed day!!

Well, this morning I was reading my Bible and I cam e across this verse. Proverbs 14:3, which says, " In the mouth of a fol is a rod of pride, But the lips of the wise will preserve them." I really like that verse because I find that I sometimes have a rod of pride on me and I don't realize it until someone brings it to me. I know that I don't want that to happen to me again. I pray that the Lord would continue to bring verses to me that I need to hear. I hope that this encourages you and that you have a wonderful day today.

Isaiah 9:6

Well, this morning I was reading my Bible and I was reading Isaiah 9 which has a really great song in the chapter that I love. The words are, "For unto us a child is born, Unto us a son is given: And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." I just think that those words are so wonderful because God really is all of those things. Sometimes I forget how much God actually does for me but this verse brought me back to reality this morning. I love how it says that it will be upon our shoulders. I have never really thought of it that way before. Well, maybe the Lord would use this short paragraph that I wrote to encourage you and show you like he showed me. I hope you have a wonderful day today.

Praise the Lord

This morning I read Psalm 7 and I liked the whole chapter because it talked about how we need to praise the Lord according to His righteousness. The verse is "I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness, And will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High."I hope this encourages you today!!

Trust in the Lord

Hello Everyone,

Well, I am going to write about Proverbs 3 today. I know that I've probably already wrote about these verses a while ago but sometimes we all can use reminders. So, the verse is: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lead not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths." I really like this verse because it is such a good reminder to me that I need to fear and trust in God. I sometimes find myself struggling with something and then after the fact realize that I was trying to fix it on my own strength and not on God's strength. I figured it out, if you need some wisdom just ask the Lord and he will show you or tell you somehow. It has happened to me. He showed me this verse this morning and I just wanted to share it with all of you!!!!

Update on Papa

Hello,

Papa is now back to work and is doing a really good job. He is still going to Physical Therapy three times a week
and is only. He can now drive, he drives with his left foot. We are so grateful to the Lord for making all of these
things happen in his timing. He also doesn't have the CPM Machine anymore, he has a different portable thing that
bends his knee and keeps it there so it doesn't get stiff. We are all very proud of him for working hard to be where he is right now. Keep praying that he would one day be able to walk without a limp and do things with his right leg again. He still has drop foot so pray for healing for that.

Thanks,

Britt

"The Family" by J.R. Miller

Hello,

Well, I am reading the book, "The Family" by J.R. Miller. This book is one of the best books that I have read in a long time. I love how he writes the book and how he explains all of the roles of a family. Right now I am reading the Brother and Sister part which I absolutely love how he explains how the relationship between a brother and a sister should be. He said that brothers and sisters should have a special relationship that is loving. They should have a true love for their family. He also said that there are a lot of children who don't really get there love from their family but from all of the other friends that they have. Ever since Tyler and I were little we have always been very good friends. Papa always says, "That we act like were married sometimes." If you haven't read this book I would strongly recommend that you would read it. It is a really encouraging book. It would be a good read really for anybody who would be able to understand it because it goes over all of the roles in a Godly Christian home.

Listen Before You Speak

This morning I am going to write about Provwerns18:13, which says, "He who answers a matter before he hears it, It is folly and shame to him." I have that problem sometimes. You just want to defend yourself and make an excuse. My mom tells me this all of the time and I think that the Lord is showing me this verse for a reason. I'm going to listen to him and try to work on this character issue. I would ask that you would pray for me. Let's work on it together and try to do different. I hope that this encourages you to work on this quality and make it more pleasing unto the Lord.

Fear the Lord

Hello,

This morning I am going to write about a verse in Proverbs that I read and it is Proverbs 9:10, which says, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is Understanding." So, I really like that verse because it really gives you a clear picture of what the beginning of wisdom is. It just reminds me that when I don't fear the Lord I won't get wisdom and I won't get understanding from the Holy One. I'm really going to try to do a better job at that and fear the Lord in the way that I should. Let's work on that together.

Don't Praise Yourself

This morning I am going to write about a verse that I read yesterday morning during my quiet time. It is Proverbs 27:2, "Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth: A stranger, and not your own lips." I think that, that verse is a really great verse to remember because I know that I find myself sometimes saying, "Oh, but I've gotten better at that this week." It still isn't okay to say that because if someone has noticed that you have done good that week they will tell you. I need to remember that because I do find myself telling people that I have been doing better at that. I'm going to try to work on that. The Lord showed me that verse for a reason and I need to listen to him. I pray that you all would try not to do this either and that we can all be praising each other.
I hope this encourages you and that you will have a wonderful day!

Ephesians 4:1-5

Today I am gong to write about Ephesians 4:1-5. This is a passage that we memorized about 4 months ago. This is a really encouraging passage. It says, "I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with long suffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all who is above all , and trough all, and in you all."

I really like that passage because it is really a verse that I can remember for all things because it is our calling of how we should live our lives. He is talking about the prisoner of the Lord, (That's Me), we need to walk with all of the fruits of the spirit and also with one another in love. I need to remember Ephesians 4 when I go to say something and remember that I need to walk worthy of the calling. My calling is to honor and glorify my God everyday of my life and to live for him. Let's all keep this beautiful passage in our minds at all times. I have been thinking on this for about a day because I have been struggling with a couple of little things. Pray for me that I would be humble and listen to wisdom that is given to me.

My New Puppy

Well, here is how the story began, on Saturday we went to the Selma Flea Market. So, after we went there Uncle Jim's Mom had to run into the store to get some things. Auntie Tracey and I go into Tractor Supply and then we see 4 little puppies. I picked one up and of course fell in love with her. So, I went outside and told my mom and she said let me see. We brought the puppy out to her and then we asked how much they were and she said free to a good home. I didn't know if I could take on the responsability. I decided to wait and pray on it to see if I could do it or not. We got home that night and I showed Tyler picture of her on my Mom's phone and he fell in love with her. He said, "Why didn't you get her? I would have helped take care of her." I called the lady back and the lady said that she would hold the dog for me, so, I went and picked her up on Monday and we named her Daisy Grace. She is the cutest little puppy and I will get some pictures and put them on my blog so you can see them.
I hope you have a great day.

Road Trip Crew Home Safe

Hello,

On Monday us and the Tsantles' went to Asheville, NC. We actually surprised Taylor and went there. They were all in the Ridgecrest Convention Center checking it out for the conference. So, we got there and went and his in one of the RV's and then Mr. Brown told Taylor to go get his phone for him. So, he went to go get it and we were all in the RV to surprise him. We hung out at the conference for the night and then went to Hickory where Uncle Jim had some work that he needed to do. We went out to lunch on Wednesday and then the boys headed home from Greensboro with all of the kids. Us ladies and Emmi went to Old Time Pottery in Greensboro and then headed home. That was our fun little trip. We had fun with everybody. I hope that you enjoy this fun story as there is never a dull moment around here.

Katie's Baby

Hello Everybody,

Katie had her baby at 2:48 this afternoon and was a safe delivery. She was in labor for 30 hours and finally had the baby. She had a Baby Boy and his name is John Mark. He weighed 7.13 lb. and is 21 inches long. He is so precious. We saw him and he looks like Katie and Phillip. Katie is resting well and John is resting. He is perfectly healthy. Labor took so long because the baby had his hands by his mouth so it is harder to push out when the hand is in the way. Praise the Lord that He has brought another blessing into this world. Maybe I will get a picture soon.

Thanks for praying!!!!

Don't be Haughty

Today I am going to write about two verses in Proverbs 21. They are both on being haughty. The first one is, "A haughty look, a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked are sin." and the other one is, "A proud and haughty man- "Scoffer is he" is his name: He acts with arrogant pride." I know that I don't want to be known as a scoffer. I sometimes struggle with being haughty and prideful. I am trying to work on it so when I am older I don't struggle with it as much. I desire to change this area in my life. I hope that I can get better at this with the grace of God. I hope that this encourages you and that you would work on this with me. I hope that you have a wonderful day.

My 16th Birthday Party!!!!!

Hello,

Last Sunday I turned 16 and I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday with my family and the Tsantles. I had a lot of fun and will always remember it. They had something kind of like a party on Friday night where I went home during the day and then came over and they had the table all beautiful with fancy dishes decorations. It was all vintage and so beautiful. They served me a spaghetti dinner which is one of my favorites with salad and bread. They also mad cupcakes that were so pretty. They piped the icing on yellow and green which green is one of my favorite colors. It was a fabulous party that I will always remember. Then, after dinner we all sat in the family room and everybody went around and told me what they enjoyed about me and then Papa had gotten some special letters from some of the ladies from our church that were very sweet. I loved the letters and will enjoy going back to read them when I get older. After that we all wanted to dance so we were dancing to the electric slide and hokey poky and other fun songs. Then of course we had to go swimming. That was so much fun with it being dark. Well, I got a ton of pictures so I will post some. Here they are:

Kayla, Me and Ally were posing on the fireplace, this is a fun one!!!!
My sweet cousin Ally and I during dinner
My Mom and I sitting down waiting for dinner to be served
This was me when I first saw everything and how pretty it looked

I hope that you enjoy my Birthday Photos!!!! I had a blast, it was such a surprise and we all had a fun time.

Off to Tennessee!!!!!

Hello,

I am going to Tennessee for a home school conference this week. I have gone one time before and I really enjoyed myself. I am going with the Tsantles (Auntie and Uncle). We are leaving today at about 2:00 PM. Our church has a Memorial Day Picnic every year so we are going to that and leaving from the picnic. We will get back Sunday night. It's going to be a lot of fun, we have friends going that I haven't seen in a while. I will post about it when I get back. I just wanted to let you know that I won't be posting for a while. Hope you have a wonderful week.

Saul Is Selfish

Last night we were over at Auntie and Uncle's house to celebrate Jabez's Birthday and it was the most beautiful birthday. He got a Bible and a sword that says Hebrews 4:12 which is about the two edged sword. We are all faithfully praying that he would come to know that Lord this year. We had some time in prayer and just encouraging him. It was really sweet and I think that this is a birthday that he will remember for the rest of his life. We were just talking about how Saul in 1 Samuel. The one thing that I got out of last night was that Saul was very selfish when he built the altar for himself and didn't do everything that the Lord had asked him to do. That is one of the biggest things that I am working on right now. I have been struggling with being selfish and thinking about myself before others. Please pray for me. I hope that this encourages you in this day.

Merry Heart Like Medicine

Today I am going to tell you about Proverbs 17:22, which says, "A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones." So, I know I don't want that to happen to me because I want to have a merry and cheerful heart for it is medicine to my bones. I like the idea of medicine to my bones. Lets work on that today, not having a merry heart for our own purposes but having a merry heart because God tells us to do. I pray that we would all remember this verse and I hope this encourages you. Have a wonderful day.

Update On Papa

Hello,

I just wanted to let everyone know that Papa is out of surgery and at home resting. He has his machine that he has to do a couple times a day. I think that the surgery went as planned, everything went well and Lord willing this will help him to be able to bend his leg more. It will be a lot of pain for a couple of weeks and will be very important that he uses him leg bending machine to keep it from getting it stiff again. Thank y'all for your prayers for our family and for everything everybody has done. Thanks again.

Papa's Birthday

Today is a special birthday of someone's and I am going to make a special cake. Today is Papa's Birthday and is turning a year older today. His Birthday is a birthday present from the Dr. which is another surgery tomorrow. His surgery is at 9:00 in the morning so he should be done around 11:00-12:00. The Dr. said that this isn't as hard as the first surgery, but keep praying that everything would go as planned. Thanks you for your prayers.

Braces Off!!!!!

I finally got my braces off after two full years of wearing them. I was so excited and it feels so weird. I love not having a bunch of metal in my mouth now. Or as Jabez would say, "Hi Brace Face" (he is just kidding). I go back to the orthodontist on Tuesday to get my retainer. I am so excited that I don't have to worry about putting rubber bands back in my mouth everyday. I will post a picture when I get one. I hope y'all are having a great day.

Update on Papa

Hello,

Papa is doing well with Therapy and everything else. He is healing good from the first surgery. He just went to the Dr. on Monday and the Dr. told him that he can walk without the brace on his leg with two crutches but can walk with one crutch with the brace on. He is still icing it through out the day and elevating it. Unfortunately he has to have another surgery next week. The surgery is schedule for the 13th of May and what they are going to do is hook his leg up to a manipulating machine and bend it and brake up the scar tissue in his knee. Then they are going to Manipulate his knee with this machine that they will look his leg up to and it will bend is for a while and it will be easier to bend. He will be sent home with this machine for about 60 days and will do it so often. The surgery will be about 1-2 hours. Papa keeps saying that this is his late Birthday Present because his birthday is on Wednesday the 12th. So just keep Papa (Ron) in your prayers as he is not looking forward to another surgery.

Guidance for the Young

Hello,

This morning I am going to tell you about Proverbs 3 which is all about the young. This is also one of my favorites because it covers everything. It just encourages me so much because the Lord put that in the Bible so that he could teach us so we can learn. When I read it I read the first verse and then I was like this is wonderful. It says, "My son do not forget my laws." which is something that I often forget but I shouldn't. Please work on this with me and try to work on this.I hope this encourages you to work on this and I hope that you have a great day.

Don't be Hasty

Today I am going to write about Proverbs 29:20 which says, "Do you see a man hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him." To me that says not to be hasty in anything that you do because when you are you are considered more like a fool than a fool actually is. I know that I am hasty sometimes and when I am it gets me in trouble because I ended up making the wrong choice in the long run. Lets try not to be to hasty, I know it can be hard but lets work on it today. I hope that you have a great day and that this encourages you!!!!

Family Fun Night Trivia

Something fun that we do for family fun night every Friday night before we play a game. This is something that when my family goes over to the Tsantles house we do Bible Trivia, which is, we all study one book of the Bible or a part of a book and then Uncle Jim and Papa take turns every week. We've already done Philippians, James, and now Joshua. It is really fun, so this week we are doing Joshua 1-5 which will be good. It really is fun to because when one team doesn't know how to do it then the other team is trying to whisper and figure it all out. This is just a way to learn more about the Bible and get a better understanding by answering questions. I hope that maybe you could convince your family to do the same.

Don't get in Other People's Quarrels

Today I am going to write about Proverbs 26:17, which says, "He who passes by and meddles in a quarrel not his own Is like one who takes a dog by the ears." So, that verse to me means that we need not to meddle into other people's quarrels and just let them figure it out but when we do get into their business it is like pulling a dog by the ears. Just remember that, you're not the only one that needs to remember that because I need to remember it also. It is one of those things that just happen in the moment. It is difficult sometimes just to walk past somebody who is talking and just ignore that conversation. I know that it is for me and I have been working on it lately. I have been working on not always interrupting people and just waiting until they are done talking to say something. Well, I hope that this encourages you and that you have a wonderful day.

Update on Papa

Hello Everyone,

I am updating you on Papa. He is doing great, he still has therapy three times a week and can bend his knee to a 91 degree angle. The therapist would like him to be at a 100 degree angle but he is working his way up there. He is now on crutches rather than a walker. He can put as much weight on his leg as he feels comfortable with. He is doing a really good job recovering from this, he is getting up and moving around and can do a lot more on his own than he could a couple months ago. I still just want to thank everybody for their prayers for our family and everything that you'll have done for us. I hope that you have a wonderful day!!!

Proverbs 20:11

Today I am going to talk about a verse that I have memorized that is a wonderful verse to teach the younger children. It is, "Even a child is known by his deeds, Whether what he does is pure and right." (Proverbs 20:11) So, this verse is one that I need to keep in mind more, I know what is right but in my heart I don't always do what is right. Let's try to keep this verse in mind, as we go through our day. I think it will be helpful if we keep it in our mind and purpose to do everything to the fullest it can be done by. I hope that this encourages you.

Proverbs 15:1

Today I am going to write about Proverbs 15:1, which says, A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger." So, we can just remember that verse all of the time because it is one that everybody struggles with, I have a little issue where I don't think before I speak and then something that maybe I heard from somebody that isn't true will come out and that is how is spreads. I don't want to spread rumors but that is just how everybody is. I am trying to work on that and think more before I speak. Maybe you could work on that also. I hope that you are having a great day and that this encourages you.

Think Before you Speak

Today I am going to write about a verse in Proverbs 8, which says, "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil, Pride and Arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate." That verse is so convicting to me because I am don't always have the fear of the Lord showing outwardly or in my heart. I do hate evil but sometimes the flesh is evil. I have been very evil before to my brother. When we were little I was really bad to him. I also struggle with not always thinking before I think. Let's all try to work on that together and encourage each other on that. I hope you have a great day and I hope that this encourages you in this area.

Update on Papa

Hello Everyone,

Papa went to the Dr. yesterday and he is not using his walker anymore, he is using crutches now and he can put as much weight on his foot as he wants to. He was happy, he still has the knee brace on but it is always unlocked so his leg is always bending which is good. The Dr. said that the knee isn't exactly where he would want it to be but it is not bad. So, it is still good. He will never be able to straighten his leg all of the way. We just have to continue to pray that the nerve would wake up and that he would be able to flex his foot. Keep praying!!! We are really appreciating everybody's prayers. Keep up on the prayers for him. Thank you for all you all have done.

Read Proverbs 31

Have you ever read Proverbs 31??? I have and it is the best passage that I have read. I love it, just the way that it explains how we need to be a wife and a mother. If you haven't read Proverbs 31 then you should read it and try to focus on all of those things that are in there. Those are all of the qualities that I want to have when I get married. Let's work on this together!!! Have a great day!!!

Be Humble

"A man's pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor." Proverbs 29:23. We need to remember this verse because it is so true. I do struggle with that sometimes but I just need to remember that the Lord put this verse in front of me for a reason. Let's work on being humble and not prideful. I hope this encourages you to purpose to be humble.

Update on Papa

Hello t Everyone,

I am just letting you know that Papa is doing wonderful. He is a 89 degree angel right now and the physical therapist said that she wants it at a hundred. He is increasing every visit which is good. The pain is under control and he doesn't really have much pain unless he is doing his exercises. He has a lot of exercises that he does everyday. So that is the update and if anything changes I will let you know.

Be Strong in the Lord

Don't you want to be known as a wise man? I surely do. Well, today I have a verse from Proverbs 24, it is about being a wise man and and how a wise man is strong. It says, "A wise man is strong, Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength." (Proverbs 24:5) So, lets try to be a strong wise man. I only know of one person that we can take that example from and that would be Jesus Christ who was the strongest man and a perfect man. He didn't do anything wrong and we do things wrong everyday which means we are like filthy rags. It is so true. Let's try and work on it and be willing to take wisdom.

Take Wisdom

Today I was reading the Proverbs of the day and I came across verse 26, which says, "My son, give me your heart, And let your eyes observe my ways." We need to remember this because it is hard to take wisdom. I am working on taking wisdom and not being selfish and thinking about my own ways. It isn't an easy thing to do so maybe we can all work on it together. I hope that this encourages you to take wisdom more.

Think Before Speak

Today I am going to write about how we be careful what we say. Last night I listened to sermon about the tongue. It was really convicting and I know that I struggle with thinking before I speak. The sermon said that the tongue is the most dangerous part of your body because you can just go to say something and it will come out the srong way and that will offend the person you were talking to. I know it happens on accident sometimes but sometimes we can control it. I have been struggling with that a couple times recently. It just happens so quick you don't even realize what your doing until you have already said it. I have been trying to work on it but it is just a hard thing to do. Maybe you can work on it with me. I hope you have a blessed day.

Live Humble Not Proud

Today I was reading Proverbs 16 and I found a couple verse that I really like. These verse are ones that I go to quite often when I am being prideful. So, the verse is, "Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, Than to divide the spoil with the proud. He who heeds the word wisely will find good. And whoever trusts in the Lord. happy is he." Proverbs 16:18-21 I know that everybody is prideful sometimes. We all have our times that we don't want to take wisdom and be prideful. This is a very helpful verse to me though, because I tend to struggle with pride a lot. I need to remember that it is better to live of a humble spirit than with the lowly. Don't be among the pride. I have been working on this character issue for a while. I would suggest that you would work on this with me as I am purposing really hard. I hope you have a blessed day.

Sweet Thought

Today my verse is Proverbs 15:3. Which says, "The eyes of the Lord are in every place, Keeping watch on the evil and the good." I know there may be times when we will want to do something that isn't right and we don't think anybody is watching but that is not true as God is watching everything. It is really amazing of how God can see everything because that is just the way he was meant to be.I know that I don't always think of that and I need to. That verse is one that the girls sing. They sing it to the tune of Row, Row, Row your Boat. They love singing scripture to music. It really is an easier way to do it. I hope you have a blessed day.

How my Family is a Blessing to Me

This is a family picture that we took on Christmas. I just wanted to share it with you and tell you how much a blessing my family is to me. Now that Papa is hurt I just have to keep in my mind that being a servant to him is what I am being called to do right now. Even though sometimes I may not want to do everything that I am asked I still have to do it with a cheerful obedient heart. Papa is such a blessing to me for training me up and teaching me the word of God. Mommy is the best Mom in the world, she does everything around here. She works a lot through out the week and then comes home and tries to catch up on everything in the house. I
do a lot of stuff around the house and Papa and Mommy are very grateful for that. I love being a servant, cooking dinner a lot of the time, making bread for the family, and watching Morgan. It is such a blessing to be able to practice all of these things in my house right now so when I get married, Lord willing one day I will already know a lot of thing on how to run a house hold. Tyler, my brother is a wonderful brother to Morgan and I, he helps me with whatever I may need help with at the time. He is a great brother to have and one that I love to have around. Now, Morgan, she is my little sweetheart, she is the most joyful little girl I have ever seen and when I am down she lifts me up. She is a cuddle bug to everybody and just as sweet as can be. I just wanted to share that to you and I think that you should think of your family very highly. I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Don't be Lazy

Today I am going to write about Proverbs 10:26, which says, "As vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes, So is the lazy man to those who send him." I just think that we need to keep that in mind. We aren't supposed to be known as a lazy man. I know that I don't want to be known as that and I am sure that you don't either. I have been doing a good job at not being lazy but it just slips sometimes. So, let's just try and work on that together. I hope this encourages you and I hope you have a blessed day.

Abraham and Isaac

Today I am going to write about Abraham and Isaac. The story of how God told Abraham to take his son, his only son Isaac up to Mount Moriah and offer him there as a burnt offering. Abraham got wood together and rode until they saw Mount Moriah. Abraham tied wood around Isaac's back and told the servants to stay there with the donkey. So, he tied wood to Isaac's back and he was wondering what his father was doing to him because they always take a lamb for the burnt offering. He was like father, father where is the lamb?? They went walking until they got to Mount Moriah and then Abraham for the alter ready and put Isaac on top of the alter. He had his pan with his fire in hand and his knife in the other. He was just about to put his hand down with the knife in it but he heard an angel of the Lord speaking to him. God was testing Abraham and he passed. And now that his son was spared he saw a ram and was stuck in the bushes. He got the ram and put it on the alter and used it as a burnt offering. I just think of that story and how faithful Abraham was. We are never that faithful. We need to purpose to be more faithful. Let's work on it together. I hope this blesses you as it blessed me. Have a wonderful day.

Today I have found a wonderful verse for Proverbs 4:10, which says, "Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, and the years of your life will be many." That brings me back to the verse that says, "Honor your father and your mother so that you live long in the land. Right now I am working on taking wisdom and not interrupting my mom when she is bringing something to me so this is a very good verse for that. I need to keep that in mind and remember it. I hope you have a blessed day and that you would have a diligent day.

Gain Wisdom

Today I am going to write about Proverbs 3:13, which says, "Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding." I know that I am not always happy when wisdom is being brought to me. I want to be rude and not listen sometimes. But that is wrong and that is something that I need to work on. Maybe we can all work on that together and gain wisdom. We all can always use more wisdom. We need to take this verse more serious because this is a good thing to work on together. We can hold each other accountable. I hope you have a blessed day and that this encourages you to take wisdom without having a attitude.

Update on Papa

Hello,

Papa is doing pretty good. He has a really tough time with the therapy. He takes a pain pill before he leaves and he said it didn't even touch it. He said that it was really painful. He came home and rested until dinner was ready. He is doing well and all of the rest of us are doing well. We have been busy helping him in and out of bed and into the wheelchair. Just continue to pray. The nerve hasn't woken up yet, he still has foot drop which is like when you can move your foot down but you can't flex your foot. Just continue to pray for him.

Listen to Wisdom

This morning I was reading the first Proverb because it is the first of the month. I read through almost the whole chapter and then I was starting to think that there wasn't going to be a verse for me to write about, but I knew that in a Proverb I couldn't go through a Proverb without finding a good verse to write about. So, I came across this one, verse 33, which says, "But whoever listens to me willl dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil." This part of the chapter is talking about wisdom. We need listen to the call of wisdom when wisdom call out for us. When we do, it says we will dwell safely, be secure, and without fear, that is everything we need in life. I know that I don't do the best of jobs at always taking wisdom but I know I need to work on it. It isn't easy but it is something that all of us can work on together. That just puts peace in my heart. If I take wisdom and listen to that call of it then I will be kept safely. That is a good thing because I know that I don't do very good at it on my own. Sometimes my Mom brings something to my attention and I don't like it but I know that I have to like it because it is something that she is trying to help my character. Listen to the call of wisdom, listen to the call of wisdom. I hope you have a blessed day.

Praise the Lord

Hello,

I have good news for you today. Papa ate lunch and diner yesterday and kept it all down. He is on the upswing from the surgery. He is gaining his energy back and is extremely happy about that. He is very grateful for all of the prayers that you are all lifting up to our great God. Today he goes to Physical Therapy and it probably will be painful so just pray that he will be able to handle it and not get to weak. I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed day.

Pray for Papa

Hello,

Papa isn't doing very well. He hasn't been able to keep any food down and he is getting extremely week. Mom is going to call the Dr. this afternoon. They changed his pain meds because they thought that is what was making him vomit but we don't know because he is still vomiting with the new medicine. Just keep praying. He has lost some weight and is just very, very tired. He has had two really good nights of sleep. That is a good thing. It's not that he is in so much pain but just so week from not eating anything that he can barely get out of bed. He doesn't want to have to go back to the hospital but if he keeps going like this he may have to go and get a IV put back in to keep him hydrated. Just keep him lifted up in your prayers. Thank you all for following and just praying for him.

Finally Home

Hello,

I just wanted to let all of you know that Papa is home and out of the hospital. He is doing well. He isn't eating all that much and is still and little nauseated when he gets up to use the restroom. He is taking high pain meds and will be on them for at least a couple weeks. He came home Sunday afternoon and has been sleeping a lot. It is nice to be home in your own bed. He probably feels a ton better now then he did at the hospital. His knee is very sore from all of the moving of the bones they did. He will have to have two more surgery's in the future, one for the nerve and the other one for the bone. I don't really know when these ones will be but the Dr. said future. He really didn't describe. I will keep updating on him on my blog. I hope you all have a blessed day.

In Recovery

Hello,

I just wanted to let all of you know that Papa is out of surgery and is doing well. He is highly on pain meds right now so he isn't fully awake. His incision is about 20 inches long and then there are just a few other little ones that are only a couple inches long. I haven't really heard much except that he is out of surgery. When he wakes up and is a little responsive the Dr. will see if he can flex his foot and if he can that means that the nerve didn't get damaged during the surgery. Just continue to pray for him that you would give him patience during this rough time. That you would just give my mom comfort and that neither of them would be nervous. I just continue to pray for Papa that the Lord would just guide this whole season. Lord, Please heal Papa's leg Lord just please. Have a great week and I will post more when I hear more from my Mom. Have a blessed night.

Headed to the Hospital

Hello,

I just wanted to let you know that Papa is headed to the hospital. He just left at about 7:20 and his surgery will start somewhere around 10:30 or so. Please be praying. The hard part of the surgery is between 10:30 and 1:00. He will be on high pain meds and will stay the night at the hospital tonight and not sure how long he will stay tomorrow. Pray for my mom, she is very nervous. She is gong to stay at the hospital with Papa and keep him comforted. She will read him scripture when he wakes up and will pray with him. Just continue to pray for him as he is also extremely nervous. I will be updating every couple of days on my blog. I hope you have a wonderful day and just pray for our family as we are growing closer.

Have a Happy Countenance

This morning I was reading Proverbs 15 and I liked the 13 verse in the chapter. It says, "A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, But by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken." Proverbs 15:13 I know that it is hard to always have a merry heart even when you are upset or something like that. But the Lord says that we need to have a cheerful countenance and that is what we need to listen to. When we don't have a cheerful heart we have sorrow of the heart and then our spirit is broken which we don't want that. That isn't a good thing to do. Let's purpose to have a cheerful countenance and not a sorrowful heart. That isn't a very good thing to have. Just remember that this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Update of Papa

Hello,

Today Papa goes to the Physical Therapist for physical therapy. It will be painful so please pray that it won't be painful. His surgery is scheduled on the 18th of this month and I don't quite know how long recovery will be. He has just been resting for the passed week and a half. He isn't in pain unless his back starts to hurt because he can't get up. We have all been praying for him and I would just ask that you would please keep him in your prayers. I will be posting updates every couple of days so that everybody knows what is going on with him. Thank you for your prayers and everything that you are all doing for him. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Take Wisdom, Get Understanding

This morning I was reading Proverbs 4. This is a chapter of wisdom. One of the verses that caught my eye are verse 7. It says, " Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting get understanding."(Proverbs 4:7) We need to take wisdom and we need to understand and think about it. When you are having a good day with taking wisdom and then you don't take it the next day we need to think about that. It is really a difficult think to do at the moment. I know it is for me. I don't always take it in the moment but in my heart I want to take it. When you take wisdom and don't give an excuse then you will get understanding and you will understand that hear of the Lord. let's work on that together. I think we can all work on that personally, it is going to be harder for some people but not as hard for other people. I hope you have a great day.

Pray for Papa

Hello,

You can be praying for Papa (Ron) because on Sunday we were playing football in the snow and he started running for the touchdown and he fell someone landed on top of him and he dislocated his knee. He went to the hospital on Sunday night at 6:00. He tore a ligament and has to have surgery for the surgeon to repair it. It is going to be quite a long recovery for him. There will be a lot of physical therapy and really learning how to walk all over again. The hospital said that this is a very dangerous and uncommon thing. When this happens you usually damage blood vessels but Papa didn't do that which is a good thing because he could have been bleeding internally and could have really gotten sick. Keep us in your prayers. He is going to be home for a while and is going to be going into surgery next week some time. He got home safe and has a wheel chair and a walker for getting around. Pray for our family and I will keep you updated on what happens. He is at the orthopedic surgeons office right know.

Memorize James

Today I am going to write about how our family is memorizing James 1. It is really good. We have only memorized 3 verses but it is so fun to do as a family. Our family is going to memorize 1 verse a week so by the end of the year we have memorized 52 verses from James. We are going to keep building on it and building on it. If you want to do it with us you can start at James 1:1 which says, "James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. My Brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience." (James 1:1-3) I hope that you can do this with us. It is a very good chapter and a wonderful discipline to have. Have a blessed day.

A Word Fitly Spoken

Today I was reading my Proverbs of the day and I know this verse I just wanted to write about it. All of the little kids sing this song together. It is so cute. It says,"A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold and pictures of silver" Proverbs 25:11. i know that I don't always think before I speak and I know that everybody sometimes has that issue. Sometimes you will just spit something out and just not think before you speak. We need to think and be self-controlled about what we say. We can hurt peoples feelings and then they may get bitter at us and we don't want that to happen. Just think before you speak and say kind words. God will bless you if you obey Him and listen to what his word says.I hope this encourages you and I hope you have a blessed day.

Train Up a Child

Today I was reading My Proverbs of the day and I came across Proverbs 22:6, which says,"Train up a child in the way he should go, Ans when he is old he will not depart but from it." (Proverbs 22:6) I know that none of us have any children yet. But some day we all pray for a husband so we can raise children. So, I was thinking that some of us know how to train children but others don't and we also have to remember another verse that I found. Proverbs 22:15, which says," Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; the rod of correction will drive it far from him." We need to remember that verse. That is so true because little children that I see in public are not trained and can be disobedient. We do not want to have that in our lives so we need to train our children when we have children the right way. Those of you who do not have any younger brothers or sisters may not know how to train them when they are little but you just need to go to the word of God and ask the Lord to give you the wisdom to know what and how do train them. We need to keep this in mind as it may be hard when we get older. I hope this encourages you to train you children when you have children in the way of the Lord.

Choose God's Way

This morning I am reading Proverbs 21 and just within the first few verses I found one that I thought I wanted to write about today. I liked verse 2 which says,"Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the hearts." I just thought about that and said sometimes we all think that we are doing something right and when someone tells us that we were doing it wrong it bursts our bubble. I don't like when that happens to me. The Lord says that he weighs the hearts which means that he is on the hearts and if they become heavy that is not a good thing. Our hearts may become heavy with sin and bitterness. There are many other things that our heart can become heavy with. We need to purpose to choose god's way and not our own way. That is something that every Christian struggles with. The fact that we can't always have our own way through the flesh. Our flesh wants its own way all of the time but we need to be stronger in the spirit and trust in the Lord to give us strength. I hope this encourages you to choose God's way over your own selfish way.

A Child is Known by His Deeds

Today I was reading Proverbs 20 and I came across one of our memory verses that we sing to songs. It says, "Even a child is known by his deeds, Whether what he does is pure and right." I just think of that because I know that I haven't shared with my mom that sometimes when she asks me to do something I say sure I will do it but I don't want to really do it in my heart. I know that I need to share that and she asked me if there is anything that I need to share last night and I shared that with her and she just said that is something that you need to share because it is not going to bother any of us it is only going to bother you in the long run. I think that something little like that I will just forget about but then I keep thinking about it. I need to share these type of things. The reason why I tell this story is because this verse reminded me of that. It is because in our hearts we know what we do wrong and we can choose to share them or not and we should choose to share them. We need to do things the right way and stay pure. A child is known by his deeds whether he is doing something right or wrong and that child really gets to decide because if he wants people to know him as a someone who doesn't obey and honor their parents. I came to that conclusion and I think it is a very good one. I hope this encourages you and I hope you have a blessed day.

Think Before you Speak

Today I was reading my Proverbs of the day and I came across this verse, it says, "He who answers a matter before he hears it, It is filly and shame to him." Proverbs 18:13 So, I know that this can seem like it is a very simple thing but I know that I do it when I am guilty and don't want to be corrected about something. Sometimes my Mom will tell me something and I won't hear it with a humble spirit and I know that that is wrong of me to do. I know that I need to let my Mom finish talking and just answer with a humble spirit. It is hard but I think that is something that also comes with maturity. When someone is talking to you and you interrupt them and justify what you have done you are guilty and there is no going around it. I know that this is something that I am going to be working on so maybe you guys could do that with me. It also means that we need to self examine tour hearts before we speak. We need to think before we speak and see if it would be something to debate about or just answer with a "Yes Mam". I hope this encourages you to do that along with me.

Stay in the Uprightness of God

Today I am going to have a really good verse for us to think about. This one I found in Psalm 14. I think it is one that we can all think about and a very good example that we need to show our younger siblings. It talks about us walking in righteousness and not in our own perverse ways. "He who walks in his uprightness fears the LORD, But he who is perverse in his own ways despises Him."We can learn form this and examine our own hearts. We all don't walk in His uprightness all of the time. Do We?? I know that I don't. I might always think that I do but most of the time I really don't. This is a part of character that we should have. I think it comes more with maturity in Christ also. But, we can do all things through Christ and we need to purpose to do this. This is something that we can show our younger siblings even when we want our own way. I think one way we can do this is reading His word everyday and putting Him our first priority in life. I hope this encourages you to be in the uprightness with God.

Be a Wise Son

Today I went to go read my Proverbs and I started and the first verse I read was the one that I was going to write about. It is Proverbs 13:1. We need to be wise and take counsel. I know that I don't always heed wisdom but I need to. We can all work on it together. Here is the verse.

"A wise son heeds his father's instruction, But a scoffer does not listen to rebuke."

So, I know that I don't always except the instruction of my mother and father. Sometimes I am way to prideful to even see what they are trying to tell me. I know that this is not a good thing. I need to take my rebukes when I get rebuked and move eon with life. God says that we need to be open to instruction and I am not always open for it. I hope that this encourages you and that we can all work on this.

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I was sick. I am better know and am back to normal.

Have a Humble Spirit

This morning I was reading Proverbs 11 and I found a verse about being humble and not being prideful. I was just struggling with pride the other day. I had a rough day and my family prayed with me and encouraged me. I just want to thank the Lord for giving me peace and helping me through this time.

"When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom." Proverbs 11:2

So, I know that we can all work on not being prideful. I know that is one of the things that I struggle with and I know I am not the only one out there but it still doesn't give me an excuse to be prideful. We need to have wisdom and be humble. It says that if you have pride then comes shame and that isn't a good thing. Let's try not to be prideful. We can pray for each other and encourage each other. I hope you have a blessed day.

Fun Moments!!!

New Years weekend we had most of our family come up to visit us. We had a great time. We played a lot of Catch Phrase and just arm wrestles and other exercising contest. We all got on the Tsantles stairs and took some pictures. They turned out so cute with everybody. I really had fun and so did everybody else. We watched "Night at the Museum II" two times and stayed up really late. Us older kids went ice skating, that was interesting. Only one or two falls from each person. We had a really great time together and here is the picture. Enjoy the picture. Maybe I will post some more later.

I hope you had a great New Years and I hope you like the picture. We could not have gotten a prettier day to take a picture on. Enjoy!!!!
