One of my Favorite Verses

Today I was reading one of my favorite chapters in the Bible and also one of my favorite verses. I think it is a wonderful verse for all young women to read and understand. My cousin has this verse painted in her room. It is so pretty and every time I read it I just think that I hope I am one of these young ladies.

"Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all." Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, She shall be praised." Proverbs 31:29-30

We should purpose to be a godly women who fears the Lord all of the time. I pray that we all can be that and also be a good example if we have younger siblings that can follow us. We should try to set a good example for our younger siblings not bad examples. Let's try to do that with a whole heart. I hope this was encouraging to you.

Use your Whole Herat to Sing to the Lord

Today I was reading my Bible and I came across Psalm 30:4. It just reminds us that we need to sing with a whole heart and worship Him with gladness. I think we can always use a little reminder about that. I know that when I am around people that I have just met I do not sing as loud as I always do because I think that they will think that I don't have a good voice which I know God doesn't care what your voice sounds like you just need to sing to the Lord and not to man.

"Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name."

So, this week let's try to remember that, I think it is a very great thing to keep in mind. I am going to purpose to do a better job at that. When I moved to North Carolina I was so quiet and barely sang at all. But, since we have been here for 2 and a half years i am totally different. Let's purpose to sing with a whole heart.

Prairie Day

Hello,

These are pictures from our wonderful Prairie Day that we had. It went really well. We were outside all day and cooking over the fire. Our menu consisted of Beans, cornbread, sweet potatoes, green peppers, fried fish, and corn. We had eggs for breakfast and popcorn as a mid morning snack. I think the popcorn was the best part of the meal. We were going to get a chicken but the guy we buy the chicken from wasn't home. Instead we got our boys out fishing for us and caught 2 fish and fried them up. They were pretty good. The cornbread was the worst part of the meal. It tasted like dog treats. Well, I hope you enjoy the pictures and here they are!!

Tyler and Jabez out on the boat trying to catch some fish.

Lexi and Emmi just being girls, there so cute together.

They were all a mess, but they had a real fun time outside all day.

This was the oil fire that we had, Pappi put the pan on the fire and
the oil caught on fire so he put that white bowl on top of it while the eggs were in the bowl and
the oil splattered everywhere. It was something. Remember, there is never a dull moment around the Tsantles. No one got hurt, it was really funny after the fact. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

A Trip to Lazy Ranch

Last week we took a little day trip about 3 hours away with out friends that came in for Thanksgiving and we went to Lazy Ranch. God has created such beautiful things on this earth and we need to be grateful that we can see them and just watch what God has created. They have animals that you do not even see in the zoo. They have giraffes, zebras, yaks, and even put belly pigs. I think the pot belly pigs were so cute, they even had baby pigs. They are so little and cute but we have to remember that they won't be that small for forever. I have a ton of pictures, so I will just have to choose some to share with you guys. Here they are!!!!

Big pop belly pig, his belly was dragging on the ground and he could barely walk.

Here is the huge cow, he actually played in a movie with his brother and is a super star. His tongue was so big and looked like sand paper.

This is how tall the giraffes were, they are so tall.

This is one of the Lama's that they had. I don't get to close to any of them.

I forget what kind of animal this is but they were huge!!!
These are the little teeny baby pigs, they were so cute. We have to remember that
they don't stay that cute there whole life!!!

I am feeding the giraffe. They are huge. I never realized how big they are.

Here is the baby zebra, he was posing for us. He wouldn't move from that spot. I
thought that was really funny.

Tori (Toozle) is getting ready to through food to the big animals!!!!

This little trip that we took was really fun and we all had a great time. We get to ride in the uncovered wagon and pet some of the animals and feed them all. I hope you enjoy all of the pictures of the Lazy ranch trip. That was our second time going there. We had a great time seeing God's creations.

Busy Week

Hello,

This week coming up is going to be a very busy week for all of us. The Tsantles have friends coming for Thanksgiving. They are staying for almost a week. Well, our agenda for this week is: Tuesday we are going to Lazy Ranch which is a farm that has a ton of animals and we go in a wagon pulled by horses and they show us all of the different animals. It is really fun and interesting with all of the little girls. We get to feed the all of the animals. Wednesday we do our Prairie Day where we have to live outside like the pilgrims did when they first came to America. We do everything like they did in the olden days. Thursday is Thanksgiving and we are cooking all day and have desert. All of the kids love it. Friday night we have a Barn Dance. This is the 2nd annual barn dance. After the barn dance we go to the Auction and get to have fun there. I hope you enjoy your day and I will post pictures soon!!!!

Have a Joyful Heart

Today I was reading Proverbs 17:22, it says, "A marry heart does food, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones." I see a couple different things that we can get out of this verse. The first thing is that we should always have a marry and joyful heart no matter what situation we are in. God tells us to have a joyful heart in many places in the Bible. It also says that when you do have a marry heart it is like medicine to your body. That is a very good thing to have going towards your body. The second part of the scripture means when you have a broken spirit and are bitter in like about many things it dries the bones until they rot. So many people in this world are bitter and have all of these illnesses. Those people are really all bitter and there bones are rotting. We need to watch out for this. This verse basically tells us that we need to have a marry heart like medicine or we will rot our bones and eventually will have mo joy and be bitter. I hope this encourages you to tell other people about what this verse means. It is a good one to share with the people of the world. I hope you have a great day.

Piano Recital

Hello,

I just wanted to share with you all that I had a piano recital on Sunday after church and we had such a great time. I played "Savior like a Shepherd Lead Us". There were a lot of other people that played. Everybody did wonderful job. I would have taken pictures if I had brought my camera. Sorry, I didn't take pictures because I would have put them on here if I took them. I am not a fan of playing in front of people but I did it and once I get into the piece I am fine it's just getting me started. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Today I thought that I would write about Psalm 100 which is a dong of praise into the Lord. I just love this Psalm, just the way that it is said is in a beautiful way. Here it is.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who made us, and not we ourselves. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His fates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations." Psalm 100

So I just think that we can all learn to be more thankful especially at this time of the year. Thanksgiving is coming up and we should all remember to be thankful and grateful for everything that we have and for all of the blessings that we get. There are many people in this world who do not have the same blessings we do and are not fortunate to have these blessings. I think we all need to remember that. We need to be thankful to our family for everything but also unto the Lord. The Lord is good and will always provide for those who love and obey His commands. I pray that this encourages you to be thankful this year.

Watch What We Say

Yesterday we talked about the tongue. In Proverbs 10: 11-32 we counted how many times he uses mouth, lips, and tongue. We thought that he was trying to show us something. We do not always talk as uplifting as we should. We joke and punk and people and sometimes it hurts there feelings. We should not do that. We were thinking and we all came up with an example of when or how we had used our mouth in an ugly way. Mine was, my mom was in my way one day and I just walked up to her and said "EXCUSE ME" in a rude way. I know that I should of done that differently and I didn't. We should think before doing something like that. Maybe you should read Proverbs 10 and see if the Lord convicts you of any way that you may use you mouth in the wrong way. I hope this encourages you to watch what you say to other people and just honor your authority. I pray that you have a blessed day.

Be of Good Courage

I am starting to read Joshua in the Bible and just the first 9 verses are really good. It talks about how we need to have courage and not be afraid.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

I just think that that is so true and we can all try to remember that verse. Earlier in the passage of scripture it commands Joshua of these things because He is taking over because Moses died. He is taking over everything that Moses had and everything that he steps his foot on. When Moses was still alive Joshua was His assistant. I just keep going back to that verse because we need to be more courageous and be willing to fear the Lord and not man. That is one of the things that I struggle with, not always being bold enough to share the Gospel with others. We can not do that because God commands us to be of good courage. That is what we have to purpose to do. I hope this encourages you and I pray that you have a blessed day!!!

Be Diligent all of the Time

Today I was reading Proverbs 6 and I found Proverbs 6:6, which says, "Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise." I once heard a story about an ant and a grasshopper. It was, there once was a grasshopper and an ant. The ant was working very diligently to get her food and the grasshopper was just playing in the summer. So, when winter came the ant had all of the food that she needed but the grasshopper was to busy playing in the summer that he didn't have any food for the winter. So the grasshopper would go to whoever he saw because he got so hungry and had no food. He would ask if there was any extra food that he could have. Everyone he asked said no because you were to busy playing around and not being diligent. The moral of the story be diligent even when you don't want to. It's not good just to sit around when you feel like it because then that promotes laziness. Every time I think about that verse I think about that story. We all sing that verse with all of the little ones and I just think of that story every time I read it or sing it. I hope this encourages you to be diligent all of the time and not lazy. I am purposing to be diligent and not lazy. I hope you have a wonderful day and a blessed day.

Guard your Heart

Today I was reading Proverbs 4 and I read one of my life verses. This verse is a verse that I have memorized and I think all of us girls should have this verse memorized. This has been one of the most encouraging verses to me throughout the past two years. It is Proverbs 4:23, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life." I just think that we can all use that verse to help us to guard our hearts. It is just one of the things that young women struggle with. I just pray that you and me can continue to use that verse if not already but that we can use it to encourage us and hide it in our hearts. I hope this blesses you and I hope you have a great day!!!!

God is our Shield

Today I was reading the Psalm of the day and I found 3:3-4 and it says, "But you, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts op my head. I cried to the Lord with my voice, and he heard me from His holy hill." I just love that song and love when we sing it at church. We need to remember that God is our shield and not ourselves or man. We can't have fear of man we need to have fear of God. God hears us whenever we call upon His name and answers us when we call Him. He is such a good God. I just really like that verse and love to sing it because it is so true. I pray that yo could learn the song if you don't know it because it is a really good song. I love it. I hope you have a blessed day and I hope this encourages you.

A Trip to the Mountains

This past week we went to the mountains to go apple picking and just to go on a little vacation. We left Sunday after church and got back Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. We had a great time and can't wait to go again next year. We go every year and this was our third year. We have always gone to the same orchard and probably will go to the same one next year to. They have a lot of apples that are already picked so we just pick a bag or two. We went with the Tsantles and another family that we know the Sterlings. Justus Orchard's which is the Orchard that we went to has the best apple cider. It is so sweet and all natural. If we give to much to the kids they will bounce off the walls. We stayed in little cabins that were so cute and had lots of character. They were right on a lake and it was beautiful. There are some pictures of the lake. It is absolutely gorgeous I don't have pictures of apple picking because my camera was out of batteries. I have to get the pictures from Taylor and then I will post them on here. I have pictures of some other things so here they are.I hope you enjoy the pictures.

We went to a farm to do a corm maze but they had already chopped down the corn so we just took pictures of the mountains behind the farm. It was beautiful.

This is the lake that was by our cabins. It is really pretty with the
sun shining down on it. That is a really good picture.

Another one of the lake that was by our cabins.

All the kids sitting in the pumpkins enjoying their morning
before we head home.

Abby, Tori, and Morgan all hugging by Grandad's Tractor.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and when I get more from Taylor I will post more. We had a great time in the mountains and can't wait to do it again next year. I hope you have a blessed day and a great day.

Morgi-Porgi with the little baby chicks!! She loves them.

Their first couple minutes in the cage. Tyler has it all set up nice and pretty but it won't stay that way. They will get quite messy in about a week or two. Tyler loves them and can't wait until they get older and start giving him eggs. He should get some good eggs next summer. His eggs are so pretty. Right know the chicks are so pretty and fuzzy. They are so small, we don't remember that that is how small the other batch was when he got them 2 years ago. I hope you enjoy the pictures and have a great day!!!

Pray for PSSWF Banquet

Tonight is the Pregnancy Support Services Banquet and they could use prayer that they would raise enough money to help their ministry out and that people would just enjoy themselves and donate to a good cause. I pray that they would reach their goals of what they would like to raise. So, just pray for them and keep them in your mind. Have a blessed day!!!

Purpose Not to Have a Haughty Look

I would like to share Proverbs 21:4 with you. It says, "A haughty look and a proud heart, And the plowing of the wicked are sin." So I just thought that that is a great verse because I know it is true with me and I am not proud of it. I have been working on not giving a haughty look and a proud heart. It is hard to do it on your own strength without using God's help for you. I tried for a long time to do it on my own strength and not with the Bible and prayer. I have been looking us verses on Pride and haughty looks and just asking the Lord to help me be Humble and not prideful. Pride can sneak in very easily and I just have to guard from it. So, maybe you can go along with me and purpose not to be prideful. I am using the word of God to get me past this struggle and I am glad that I am going through this at a young age because my Mom wishes she would have learned character when she was a child. I hope this encourages you to have a wonderful day.

We had Family Visit

Left to right: Jabez, Taylor,Abby, Tyler, Morgan, Brandon, Victoria, Ally, Ava, Brittany, Bella, and Emmi. That is all of the kids that we had over the weekend. Brandon is our cousin and he came to visit us for the weekend.

Our Grandma came in from Florida to visit us and our Aunt and cousin came in from Chicago to visit us. We had a great time together. We went to a big antique sale about an hour and a half away and then went to Pizza Hut for lunch. We had a fun day with everybody. We went to church and then we came back home and all of the older ladies went to the Goodwill's to shop and to show them to Grandma and Auntie Shannon. Then we had to go and make dinner. Monday morning we went to the Town of Wake Forest to go to a shop and then we had to bring Grandma to the Airport. We had a wonderful time with our family. We hope to see them again soon and maybe they can come and stay a little longer next time.

Keep a Clean Heart

I thought that I would share Psalm 51 with you today. I really like verses 10-12 and it is also a song. It says, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from your presence, And do not take your Holy Spirit from me.Restore to me the joy of your Salvation. I just really like that verse and there is also a song that are made of those words and it is such a pretty song. I know that we do not always have a clean heart. There are sometimes that I have to share something with my parents but I have learned not to keep it in because it does start to get at you conscience. I don't want that to happen to mine so I just share with my Mom. It is a very good thing to learn how to share your heart and not keep it all in. I hope this encourages you to share anything that you need to with your parents.

Verses on Pride

Proverbs 21:24,
"A proud and haughty man- "Scoffer" is his name: He acts with arrogant pride."
Proverbs 8:13
"The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate."
Proverbs 11:2
" Whenever pride comes, then comes shame; but with the humble is wisdom."
Proverbs 13:10
"By pride comes nothing but strife, but with the well advised is wisdom."

So, I have been struggling with pride and need prayer. Please pray for me that I would be a blessing and not in the way of everything. These are some of my verses on pride that I read everyday to fight the battle of pride. I hope this encourages you to fight the same battle as we all do.

A Sad Day

Hello,

Today we are going to have to put our dog to sleep because he has been sick for about 2-3 months and he is not getting any better. We have tried medicine and blood work to try to figure out what is wrong. Know he is retaining water and is all swollen on his legs and his tummy. His name is Buddy and we are all and very sad. Please pray for my family today as this is a very hard thing for Papa. Thank you for all of your prayers and I hope you have a blessed day.

I'm Still Alive

I have been learning how to drive the past 3 days and I really do enjoy it. I think it is pretty easy and not as hard as I thought it would be. I am doing well and the teacher said that I am driving like I have been driving for six months already but I had never been behind the wheel before. I probably will get my permit in the next couple of weeks and then I can drive more.

The Things that the Lord Hates

Today I was going to read Proverbs 6 and I turned to it and the Lord just put in my mind to write about the things that the Lord hates and the things that we should not do. So, here they are, "These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven that are an abomination to Him: A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks witnesses, And one who sows discord among brethren." So, those are the things that the Lord hate and another one is also PRIDE, He hates when we have pride and we need to guard against it so it can't creep in. I know that I struggle with pride a lot and it's not that I want to purpose to have pride but it just comes out when I am being told something that I don't want to hear. I just pray that this encourages you would purpose not to be prideful and not do the things that the Lord hates of us to do. I pray that you will have a wonderful day!!!

I have never been behind the wheel before and I hope I am tall enough to drive the student driver car. Please pray for me that I will do a good job and pass so then I can get my permit. I hope you all have a wonderful day and if you live in Youngsville or Wake Forest, stay off of the road.(That is just a joke)

Driving for the First Time

Hello,

I am going to learn how to drive soon. I have that excited and nervous feeling all at the same time. I can't wait to learn how to drive. I go the 5th, 6th, and 7th and then I can get my permit. I am so excited that I will be able to drive around. I hope I will do well with my driving. I think I will because I have a friend who just went last week and she had never been behind the wheel and she did a fine job. She said it was not as hard as she thought. I think once you go a little bit you start to get the hang of it and just want to keep going. I hope I do well and I hope my feet will reach the gas and the break. I am so excited and hope that I will do a good job. I hope everybody has a blessed day and a diligent day.

Fear the Lord and You Will Get Knowledge

The Lord showed me a specific verse today. It is Proverbs 1:7, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction." So I just thought about how I know I do not always have knowledge because I don't always fear the Lord and even sometimes act like a fool as we all can do at some point in our lives. I just thought to myself that I should fear the Lord more than man and sometimes I fear man, I just wonder what someone is thinking in their heads when I am answering a question or talking. I know that is not true but that is just how I feel sometimes. I just have been praying to the Lord and asking Him to help me to fear Him more and continue to grow closer to Him. When I grow closer in my relationship I feel so good and I hope that you feel that way too. I just hope the Lord speaks to you and that we would all learn to fear Him more.

Fear the Lord With a Whole Heart

Today I was reading Proverbs 31:29-30. It says, "Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all, Charm is deceit and beauty is vain, but a women who fears the Lord, she shall be praised." So I just thought about how I do not always fear the Lord and how I need to fear Him more. I want to fear the Lord more and follow His ways more, as that is what he wants a young lady to do. I just continue to pray that I would learn to fear more and be a diligent young lady. I hope this encourages you to fear the Lord with a reverence and honor.

Be a Doer of Your Word

Today I was reading Proverbs 28 and came across verse 19. It is, "A man who tills his land will have plenty of bread, But he who follows frivolity will have poverty enough." So I just thought about how I do not always do everything to the fullest and sometimes just want to do it my own way. When I read that verse I just thought about how I can purpose to do a better job at doing something when I say I am going to do it. I am not the best doer of my word but I am trying to purpose to be more a doer of my word. Maybe you guys can do it with me. I hope this challenges you and encourages you to be a doer of your word.

Have a Humble Spirit and Not a Haughty Spirit

Today I was reading Proverbs 21 and there was one verse that caught my eye. This is what it is," A Haughty look, a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked are sin."(Proverbs 21:4) I know that I do not always have a sweet spirit and I have a haughty look instead of a sweet countenance but I purpose to have that. I have been praying and asking the Lord to help me not to be haughty and to have a proud look. I just need to obey and be humble and then I will have a humble attitude the way that the Lord would want me to. I pray for all of you, that we would all learn to be humble and have humility. I pray that this encourages you to grow closer to the Lord and purpose to have a humble spirit.

Trade Day!!!!!

Hello,

On Saturday we are going to have a Trade Day which is basically you make stuff and get points for it and other people make things that are homegrown, homemade, or home baked. We have an old fashion popcorn machine and old mountain hymn music on. It is so fun. We have a great time. People make things like: handmaid soap, dog treats, decorative pillows, farm fresh eggs, headbands, bow and arrows, and just a bunch of different things like that. It is from 10:00-12:00 in the morning. We are hoping the weather is going to be nice. Pray that is does not rain. I love having Trade Days. It is a great time to fellowship with everybody and get to know people better. We invite neighbors to come and our church family's come. I hope that maybe the next time we have a Trade Day you will be able to make it. I will post pictures after Trade Day(sometime after Saturday).

Have a blessed weekend,

Love Your Friends at All Times

One of my favorite verses in Proverbs is Proverbs 17:17 "A Friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversary." So, I just think that we need to always purpose to love our friends at all times. I know that I do not always do that the way the Lord would want me to do it. So maybe we can try to love our friends at all times no matter what. I do love all of my friends but sometimes do not treat them the right way. I hope this encourages you to love your friends at all times. I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Another Update on my Mom

Hello,

My mom is feeling a little better, she got her test results back and it was negative for the Giardia. They don't know what it is yet but she is just hoping it will just go away. She has been getting out of the house a little bit and looking more lively. She doesn't know what in the world it is because she has had this tummy bug for 13 days know. She is getting a little tired of being sick. Could you just continue to pray for her. But besides all of that everybody is doing well. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Purpose to be Wise

Today for my quiet time I was reading Proverbs 14. I thought that verse 3 was good. It says, "In the mouth of the fool there is a rod of pride, But in the lips of the wise will preserve them." I just thought that that is so true because when we are acting like a fool there is always pride involved in the situation. When you are wise your lips will stay pure and clean. That is a wonderful thing that we can try to do everyday. It would be great to try to be wise ans accept wisdom. I am trying to purpose to do that, whether or not I want to or not I have to try to not let pride in because I tend to have a lot of pride. I don't want to have a lot of pride it just creeps in when I am being fleshly. Let's all work on it together. I pray that this verse will help us all to be more wise and encourage others.

Update on my Mom

Hello,

I am just giving an update on my mom. She is not feeling any better yet. They don't exactly know if it is Giardia or not. She should get her test results by Monday of Tuesday and then they can give her some medicine to try to fix the problem. We all have been praying for her and I would ask that you would continue to pray for her. She really does appreciate all of the prayers. Everybody in our church is praying for her. Pray that she would get better and get the test results sooner than expected. Those are the major requests right know. She has about had it with this. She can not keep any food down and when she does eat she gets stomach pains as soon as she takes a bite. She is trying to drink a lot because she can get dehydrated very easily. Just keep praying for her. Thank you so much and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!!!!

Prayer for my Mom

I am sorry that I have not updated in a couple of days. I have not updated because my mom has not been feeling very well. She has something called Giardia. It is just like the flew but can take a little longer to heal. She has been resting and not feeling the greatest. Can all of you just please pray for her? She would really appreciate it. It is starting to get a little better but she still has a real bed stomach cramps and pain. Also pray that her fever would go away so she doesn't have to go back to the hospital. Thank you all so much and I hope all of you have a blessed day!!!

Sing With a Whole Heart

Today I was reading my Psalm of the day and I liked Psalm 9:1-2. It says, "I will praise You O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all the marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O most High." What I got from that is that we need to praise our God and Father all of the time and not just when we want to. When we sing at church or during family devotions we need to sing with a whole heart to the Lord. We also need to spread the marvelous works that he has done in all of our lives. I pray that we all would be able to do this including me. So, just remember that the Lord wants all of the glory. Whatever we do we need to give the glory to Him. I hope you will praise Him fully and spread the Word of God to everybody that you meet.

Find Life Through the Lord

Today I was reading Proverbs 8 and the whole chapter is about The Excellence of Wisdom. Wisdom has been here longer than all of us have been here. I liked Proverbs 8:35, "For whoever finds me find life, And obtains favor from the Lord". That is so true, because you look at people who don't know that Lord and they do not have a light that the people who know the Lord have. We need to spread the Gospel and be faithful to God's command. We need to follow wisdom and the wisdom that God has given us. I hope this encourages you to spread the Gospel and be obedient to his command. Have a wonderful day!!!!

Read Through the Bible in One Year!!!

I just wanted to put the idea out for anyone who wants to join me and my family. We are doing the read through the Bible plan in one Year. So, this is how it works: Start at the beginning of the Bible and read 3 chapters a day and 5 chapters on Sunday and you will read through the Bible in one year. I hope this challenges you to join us and read the Bible in one year.

Please Pray for Me

I just wanted to write this post because I need prayer. I have been struggling with being rude and haughty to people. I have had a hard time dying to myself and giving up my right to be right. I know that I have no rights. Now I am trying to be humble and have humility. It took me a couple of days to fully realize that I have been rude and not kind to people. I have gone to those people and asked for forgiveness. I feel a lot better t his morning after I listened to a couple of sermons from the Botkins. They were really good. I would encourage you to check your heart and purpose to be humble and not rude. Be kind and gentle!! Please pray for me in your prayers that I will continue to be humble and kind. I really do appreciate you praying for me.

Follow the Lord

I was reading Proverbs 3 this morning and it is all about the "The Guidance for the Young". The first verse, "My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commandment". So I think that is what we all need to do. Follow our authorities and commandments that the Lord has given us and the authority that God has given our parents to train us.There is also one other section of Proverbs 3 that I would like to share with you. Proverbs 3:5-7, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And he shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in you own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart form evil." That is one of my favorite verses because when there is something for me to fear about I do not always put my trust in the Lord right away, but I fear instead that He will not provide or something like that. I know that is not right. We can all use prayer that we would not lean on out own understanding but lean on God's understanding that he has given us. Also we need to acknowledge him wherever we go, whether it be when we go on vacation or not we still need to have our quiet time with the Lord everyday that ends in "Y". If we follow him and acknowledge him He will direct our paths. I pray that this will encourage you to have quiet time every morning. Have a blessed day!!!

A FUN Weekend!!!!

I am sorry that I have not posted in a couple of days. I have been out of town. We decided on Saturday that we were going to pack up 13 people in one hour and go to the Mountains for a little vacation. We had a great time. My family went and the Tsantles went with. That is a lot of little ones and we had a lot of fun. We went to a lot of parks and to the ice cream shop in Blowing Rock. That was the best ice cream ever. We also went swimming at our hotel, which was a blast. I had a great time with little one and with all of the children. It was a fun weekend getaway. I will hopefully post pictures soon.

Do Not Meddle

Today I was reading Proverbs 26:17 and I thought, that I do that sometimes and it is not a good thing to do. It says, "He who passes by and meddles in a quarrel not his own is like one who takes a dog by the ears." So I just thought that I should not meddle in someones business. I do this maybe when someone is getting in trouble and I saw it, I don't let them tell their Mom what happen I just get in there and tell her myself. That is wrong of me and I need to purpose to do a better job of that. Maybe you can try to do the same thing with me and hopefully we can stop doing this and give it to the Lord. I pray that the Lord will give us strength to not get into other people's business. I will be working on it myself. I hope this is a blessing to your day!!!

Galatians 2:20

I thought that I would share a verse that my family has been memorizing. It is Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life of which I know live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." I liked that verse because it is so true and we all need to remember it. I think it is a really good reminder to all of us. I hope that you will memorize this verse with my family and hide God's word in your heart.

Noah's Obedience

I think Noah is a great example of how we need to be obedient. God told Noah to build the Ark so that when the flood came it was ready. Noah had obeyed God and did exactly what he told him to do. I know that I do not always obey to the best of my ability. I think it is just a great example that we can follow, Noah was a noble man for God. He did everything God wanted him to do just right. He put everybody and everything that needed to go in the Ark in it. He followed directions the way God wanted him to do it. Remember that when we obey God and follow him we will obey our parents also. I pray that this will encourage you to obey and follow God.

Everything God Made is Good

I was reading Genesis this morning and was reading about how God created everything and it was good. I was thinking because, everything God made is good but people are turning more and more towards the world. We as Christians have to do something about that. We need to not fear man and fear God and share the Gospel with whoever we meet. That is what God calls us to do. We need to follow what God commanded us to do and spread the word of God to many others in this world. I pray that we all can learn this because even I don't share the Gospel with others. I hope this encourages you to share the Gospel with many people.

Be Bold

In our Wisdom Book we have been reading about Boldness. Someone who was very bold in the Bible was Daniel, because when he went in the den with the lions he did not get afraid, he prayed unto the Lord and stayed Bold. He just trusted in the Lord with all of his heart. We also have been reading the 23 Command of Christ, which is Fear Not. We need to fear the Lord and not fear man. There was this one saying that someone wrote, it said something like this: "We fear men so much, because we fear God so little. One fear cures another. When man's terror scares you, turn your thoughts to the wrath of God." So, I liked how that says we fear men so much because we fear god so little. I know that I am trying to fear God more and not man so much. Maybe you can try the same thing. I hope this encourages you to turn more to God and fear him greatly.

A Busy Week of Driver's Ed

This week has been a busy week. I have been at Driver's Ed. Monday through Thursday. I am not used to sitting in a classroom for six hours a day. It got quite boring but it was worth it because I passed my test and got an 98% on the final test. I am so glad that it is over because everybody at home was missing me and I was missing them. We can pray for all of those students in that class that they would come to know the Lord and learn to follow him with the right heart. It was pretty fun going with all of my friends from church. There were seven of us that went from our church. I pray that they will all come to know the Lord and I hope that you will pray for them too.

A Birthday!!!!

Yesterday was Morgan's birthday!!!! She was so excited, and ready to have a party with her best friends (Abby, Tori, Bella, and Ava). Her friends also got to spend the night and watch a movie. They did have a party, they went swimming and ate cupcakes. Morgan had a great time with all of her family and friends. Then we went to Golden Coral to get something for dinner, they announced her name on the loud speakers (Morgi Porgi). She loved it and was so excited about it. She said her favorite part was when she walked into the Tsantles house Uncle Jim said "It's the Birthday Girl". We made her a cupcake cake so I will have to post pictures of her cake. It was so cute!!! She had the best birthday!!!!

Thank the Lord for Salvation

We need to thank the Lord for our salvation that He has given us. In Isaiah 12:2-6 says, "Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid: For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song: He also has become my salvation." Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. And in that day you will say: "Praise the Lord, call upon his name:Declare His deeds among the peoples, Make mention that His name is exalted. Sing to the Lord, For He has done excellent things: This is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!" So, with this passage of scripture I thought it is telling us that we need to be grateful for all of the things that the Lord has done for us. I need to remember not to be afraid and always trust in the Lord. Declare his deeds among the people, that to me means that we need to share the gospel with whoever we meet that needs to hear it. I hope this encourages you to share and praise the Lord all of the days. Share the truth with people that need to hear it.

Sing Praises to the Lord

"I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness, And will sing praises to the name of the Lord Most High" (Psalm 7:17). I thought that this verse is what we all need to hear because I know that I do not always sing wholeheartedly to the Lord. We need to praise the Lord whether we like it or not, it is something that we should do according to His righteousness, which he has a lot of righteousness. The Lord has so much righteousness that we can not even compare it because we have like no righteousness compared to the Lord. I hope this encourages you and have a blessed day!!!

Hearing Instruction

Today I was thinking how I do not always here instruction and get prideful. That is not a good thing. I found a verse that says, " Here my children, the instruction of a father, And give attention to know understanding"(Proverbs 4:1). So I know that most of the time I get very prideful and justify what someone is trying to bring to me. I think that in order to not always get prideful and not take wisdom we need to stay on guard for this. It can pop up so quickly. I hope this encourages you to listen to your earthly father's instructions and your Father in Heaven.

God's Promises to Noah

I was my Bible this morning and I thought it was good how God told Noah to "Multiply the earth and fill it up". God filled the earth with animals and humans so we need to multiply and continue to fill the earth. People have multiplied the earth but may have done it for the wrong reason. I know that when I get married I want to multiply the earth and fill it with Godly seed. I pray that you would want the same. I hope that this encourages you.

The Immanuel Prophecy

I was reading Isaiah and I found the "Immanuel Prophecy", I had never found it before, so I thought it is amazing how God interacted all of these things in the Bible. In Isaiah 8:10-17 the Lord spoke to Ahaz and He said, "I will not ask, nor will I test the Lord!". I think it is really wonderful how God planned this out and had theses Prophecy's in the Old Testament and how they came true in the New Testament. I know what I can learn from this one, I can learn that I need to plan better and purpose to plan my week and my days. There was just an incident that happened, I was supposed to plan my day because I was spending the night at my Aunt's house, and my mom came home from work and I was not ready at all. I did not plan my day ahead of time so I had to rush real quick and get ready. I hope this encourages you to be a better planner of your days.

Though O Lord

In my quiet time this morning I was reading Psalm 3 and I liked how verse 3 in like a song that we sing, "Though O Lord" is the song and the verse is "But you, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head. So I know that we are singing that song at church on Sunday, it reminded me of it. That is a great song to keep in our minds and sing it joyfully to the Lord all of the time. I encourage you to keep this song in your head and sing unto the Lord with a very joy filled heart. I hope this encourages you!!!!

The Excellence of Wisdom

I was doing one of my school projects and I had to write passages of scripture from a book of the bible. So I chose to do the book of Proverbs. I was doing Chapter 8 which is The Excellence of Wisdom . It talked about ow wisdom was here before there were any people on earth. God is telling us all of the things that wisdom will do when we follow his word. For example, it says My mouth will speak truth; Wickedness is an abomination to my lips. (Proverbs 8:7) So we need to ask for wisdom and God will give it to us. I hope this helps you to take wisdom and listen to it when someone brings it to you. Have a blesses day!!!!

In the Beginning

It is so amazing how God created everything and how he made the world beautiful. He had it planned out just perfect and gave only one law that Adam and Eve would obey but they did not obey and caused the world to be sinful. God made everything perfect. I think it is just so amazing how God knew all of the animals and made them all. I was reading the beginning of Genesis and how he created everything in 6 days and on the 7th day he rested. We need to praise the Lord for everything he does for us and created the earth for us to live in. Have a blessed day!!

The Wickedness of Judah

I am just starting to read Isaiah and it is talking about how Judah is very wicked right know and these verses tell us what will happen to them if the are not wicked and God's grace is upon them. It says,"Come now, and let us reason together," Says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land; But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword"; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken."(Isaiah 1:18-20) The Lord is reasoning with them and giving grace to them like he does us. Our sins are like that but God gives grace to the humble and forgives our sins. We need to be grateful for that. I hope this encourages you to praise the Lord for what he did for us.

Do Not Follow the Ungodly

Psalm 1:1-2 says "Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night." This is encouragement to everyone, do not follow the ungodly but make wise choices and not foolish choices. It is very easy when we are not thinking to make a foolish choice. Make sure that your delight is in the Lord all of the time and not on you. Always meditate on His Word day and night. It will help you grow in Him. I hope this encourages you and hope you have a great day!!!!

Purpose to be Wise

I know that if I do not purpose to be wise I will make a foolish choice and have before. But in Proverbs 22: 17 is says, "Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise, and apply your heart to my knowledge." We have to listen to the wise and then apply your heart to knowledge. That can be difficult sometimes because we just don't want to take wisdom and we need to in order to get knowledge. I am purposing not to be so prideful when someone brings something to me. I hope this encourages you to do the same.

Have a Good Attitude

I know that I can sometimes have a proud and haughty look and in Proverbs 21:4 it says, "A Haughty look and a proud heart, And the plowing of the wicked are sin." We need to purpose to always have the joy of the lord and not get prideful and haughty, because it happens very quickly. It has happened to me and I have to guard for it all of the time. That is sin and we need to ask for forgiveness right away when someone has brought it to us.Then change our attitude and pray to our Lord and Savior. I hope this encourages you because it does encourage me to have good attitude and a loving spirit.

God's Beautiful World

When we were talking in the car a couple days ago, we were talking about how this weather is perfect rainbow weather. It was a rainy afternoon and then it got sunny. All of a sudden five minutes after we were talking about it we saw the most beautiful rainbow ever. It was absolutely gorgeous, and we could see all the colors. It is amazing how God created everything. We need to give him the Glory for everything he did. Here are some pictures of the beautiful rainbow. It was absolutely amazing also because there was a double rainbow to. They were right on top of each other!!!!! I hope you enjoy seeing them.

Self-Examine Your Heart

We were having family devotions last night and we went over a verse from the 15th Proverb. It is Proverbs 15:28 "The heart of the righteous studies how to answer. But the mouth of the wicked pours fourth evil." We all liked that verse because it reminds us to examine our hearts before we speak and listen to what others are saying. This works when someone is bringing something to you and you feel prideful, just examine your heart before you say anything to the person you're talking to. It is very helpful. IT has worked for me when I think about it. I hope it encourages you!!!

Being Joyful

The other day I got a newsletter that my friend writes and it was all about joy and how we need to keep our joy. It was very encouraging to me because I can struggle with always having joy.

When I was reading my Bible this morning and found Psalm 16:11 "You will show me the path of life; in your presence is fullness of joy; At your right hand are pleasures forevermore." It just continues to remind me not to have a sad face and just rejoice in the day that the Lord has given me. I know that I do not always rejoice in my day when I am really tired. We need to stay in His fullness of joy. I encourage you to purpose to be joyful in whatever circumstances there may be but wait on the Lord and be joyful. I hope you have a great joyful day!!!

Using Kind Words

I was reading Proverbs 15 this mornign and it talks a lot about words and how we should use kind words. I know that i don't always use kind words, which can tear someone down. I do not want to do that. Verses 1,2,4,&7 talk about words and how the wise use kind words. My Favorite one is Proverbs 15:1 "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." I just love that one because it is so true.

I hope this encourages you to use kind and loving words.

Follow the Way of Wisdom

We need to follow wisdom and not go the way of a fool. I know that I would rather choose wisdom and I think you would too. In oirder to have wisdom we need to have the fear of the Lord, and once you have a genuine fear you will get understanding from the Holy One.

Proverbs 9:10
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."

I really like that verse, it is so true because I know that I do not always have the fear of the Lord and when I am like that I am Prideful and selfish. It is a good thing to have the fear of the Lord.
I hope this encouraged you.

Keep God's Commands

We need to keep the cammandments of the Lord our God and treasure his words. In Proverbs 7:1-3 it is all about keeping his statutes and honoring the Lord our God. It also talks about taking wisdom and getting understanding. We need to realize that in order to get wisdom we have to ask for it from God and then once you get wisdom understanding will follow.

My son, keep my words, And treasure my commands within you. Keep my commands and live, And my law as the apple of your eye.Bind them on your fingers; Write them on the tablet of your heart.

So we all can learn from this we do not always think of it this way and we need to purpose to think of it this way. Try to become more likeChrist. I hope this encourages you.

Psalm 51

Today I was reading Psalm 51 and I loved the whole thing but really love verses 10-12 because it is the words to "Created me a Clean Heart". I love song because it is so important to always have a clean heart. The whole chapter is really like a prayer for forgiveness and that is why we should always keep it in our minds. I hope this encourages you to always think of it this way.
